Jack's prowess behind a mic was legendary but my fondest memories of him are from the golf course. Not only did he make you feel like you were playing like Tiger with his nice words but his story telling was amazing, I will always treasure those times. RIP Jack and sincere condolences to his family.

Nelligan,

Don't forget about the cross handed grip. The first time we played together, I thought he was crazy, then he hit the ball and I was amazed. We actually played at night at a lighted course around here once. The racing world has lost a great friend and ambassador but Heaven got a special gift.

Truly a master with the microphone and a genuine fun guy to be around. He had the unique ability to remember names, dates and events with an uncanny sense of accuracy. We will not cry for you Jack but we will always remember you and thank you for your contribution to our sport.

If you haven't seen this - go to http://www.hoseheadforums.com/forum.cfm?ThreadID=45606 this is a really good post from Don Hubbard - and I will try to copy & paste it here.

Written by Jack . . . .

PLEASE DON'T CRY FOR ME by: Jack Miller

"If my soul has now left this existence on earth, please don't cry for me. I have now rejoined so many other loved ones who have left before me, and my sharing with them in the afterlife will be forever.

Though the time on this earth seems so very limited, please don't cry for me as I feel that I have shared several lifetimes. I have been blessed with beloved family members over all the years of my life. There is not time nor space to recount all the wondrous people who have touched my life. So many dear friends in such a short time. Please don't cry for me. Delight, rejoice, sing and be happy for me. As I have enjoyed all of those things with each of you. It took each of you to fill my life, and my life was full.

We shall all meet again someday where we may continue the many happy moments we have shared. It has been a wonderful journey and my long trip has been complete. Please don't cry for me."

From all of us at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum . . . .

Godspeed Jack Miller
