Hey first time going. We have a golf cart and was planning on taking it. Is it ok to run the streets and other areas with golf carts?
Thanks,

you have to have a slow moving vehicle sign and an orange flag (state law)
Can only be used from sun-up to sun-down (cops will ticket you), so if you take it to the races, plan on walking back
Can only be used on side streets (can't go down highway 14 in front of the track) - cops ticketed Donny Schatz last year for doing this, so even being Nationals Champion won't get you out of a ticket
Only licensed drivers can drive them (over 16) - per state law, they can impound it if an underage person is driving it
Fairgrounds usually don't allow any un-official vehicle onto the grounds (for safety and too many people have golf carts nowadays)

It is legal as long as you stay off the main roads, Hwy 14 or Pleasant street. You will need a slow moving vehicle triangle and an orange flag. This year they also are going to check for proof of insurance if you get pulled over. The way I understand is they are not going to hassle anyone unless your committing a violation. You would need a special sticker from the Raceway to drive it on the fairgrounds and they are not given without a good reason for safety concerns.
