Almost 30 years ago Steve Kinser won his very first of 12 Knoxville
Nationals. In 1980 I was a young photographer then who took photos only
during hot laps and time trials and then headed for the grandstand to
enjoy the races.
Here is an album of almost 60 shots from that weekend. I shot all
these on slides and my scanner does not do the best job, but I think you
will still like them.
