Howdy,
Could some of the locals to Osky critique some of the 'must eat' restaurants within the fare city? Seems we always ending eating McD,,McD...Mcd,,,,broken record..
Thanks

The mexican joint on the south side of the square, if still there, is good. Smokey Row coffee shop on the west side does good sandwiches, malts, etc.

Oh yeah + 1 on the Coffee Cup in Sully. Linden house in the next town east of Sully (Lynnville) is very good, with a darn good selection of hard liquor and beers.

I recommend Big Ed's Barbeque on the S side of the square. Great southern & home style cooking & since Ed's wife is from Germany, some german cuisine is available & very authentic.

Don't eat McD's. There are plenty of places to eat in Osky. If you're camping at the fairgrounds there is Creations from the heart which is two blocks west on A Ave, across from Dairy Queen. They have a small menu but sandwiches and sides are good.
Also head East on A Ave about 4 blocks you'll pass a Chinese Buffet which I like.
A block East of there in the "mall" is La Pachanga, a Mexican restaurant. Also another Mexican restaurant called Mi Ranchito's on the south side of the square is good.
Tasos is also Across the street brown Brown's shoe co. which is on the east side of the square. As mentioned Smokey Row has good sandwiches, and drinks. On the very East side of town is family restaurant. Food is OK but prices good.
The town square is about 5 blocks East of the road that takes you by the fair grounds, then head south on Market street. I would park any where around the square and you have about 4 options to walk to. La Pachanga, Taso's, Mi Ranchitos and Smokey Row.
I forgot my fav pizza joint is 2 blocks east of North Market on A Ave is Breadeaux.
Hope this helps.
