I am starting to wonder if he ever will win with the WoO again? Last year everyone said it was because he was driving the 20 car that he wasnt winning. So what is the exscuse this year? I mean, in all reality, he has ZERO wins, a mere 5 top 5's and seems to be absolutly no threat to win on any given night. He is driving equipment right out of his dad's shop, so there should be no issues there. I am just wondering what it would take to get him back up front, or maybe he just doesn't have what it takes to run up front with these guys night in and night out. Kraig is a nice enough guy, but sometimes I just dont think he has what it takes anymore. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Maybe it's a problem of driver feedback to his crew. Which is composed of his sister, who probably is still working in the tshirt trailer while Dana recovers, and his future brother in-law who is a rookie crewchief this year.

NASCAR could ruin Mother Teresa.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Well i have noticed that him and Steve run the same motors but he has all the bad motors...i know its his future brother in law but he needs a new crew chief. Also look at the nights where he is doing good then the motor goes on him.

Gotta agree ...what in the world is going on ?? ... I mean Sammy hasn't ran 1/2 of the WoO shows this year as KK has and Sammy has had way more success.
I would guess the answer/reasons will never show up on hoseheads forum ... but it is a very interesting question.

It's the famous and good father and not so good son syndrome. A real killer. Ask JUN-YUR!

Steve is not going to go broke doing this! Maybe they do need a new crew chief. But it is only his future son in law and he is only a rookie crew chief. Steve may need to give him some benefit of time.

It has a lot to do with who is still running.
In other words when the time comes and a dozen or so of the great drivers stop running. You are going to be reading ,and seeing the younger generation, winning every night every where just like there family.
After all , when the great drivers are running in the same main as the under generations of there family's.It become a huge challenge to get passed them.Only 1 person win's each race,so the number of wins is most likely greater for the champ's.

Kraig... I don't understand it. He DID win the Nationals, right? Same guy?
I'd be calling Guy Forbrook or some wrench with some skins on the wall and pair him with Kraig. KK hasn't been the same... do everything you can to help the guy get back on track.
This idea of his crew sounded bad going into the season, hasn't produced and doesn't sound any better today.
Sorry... time to shuffle 'em up.

A couple of WOO events I have been to, his hauler is usually parked right next to dads, and I saw Bass Pro Shop shirted guys doing things to the car, so probably getting a little help there.

yes he will. some night (maybe this year) he'll end up on the pole on a fast, one groove track and lead wire to wire. but if your expecting him to manuver through 8 cars and make a last lap pass, dont hold your breath.

I always love when people post things when they have no idea what they are talking about. First to compare Kraig with Sammy when Sammy has many more years at racing than Kraig is just stupid. Then to say he needs a new crew chief because he is not doing well?!?! If you look back to when Kraig was running the top 5 he had engine troubles. Any one out there these days have a chance to win. Kraig and the team are doing very well and it takes time to adjust to new car and team.. They will get some wins its only a little over half way through this season any way.

I agree. Mikey and Stevie are two of the hardest working folks in the pits. Steve, Scott, Jason, Doug and Finchy help when they can. Mikey in his short time on this planet has forgotten more about sprintcars and organizational skills than 99% of the people on this board.. Jeezus, have any of you guys ever tried their jobs?
Kraig has stepped up and is usually in the hunt. Mechanical issues, bad luck.. hey, it happens to everyone. Seen Shatz's luck lately? Is is bad? Nope... is it what happens to everyone at one time or another.... yep!
Kraig and Crew will get their day... again... Remember when people were getting tired of Kraig winning? Yep, just like Saldana now...
ETFU! (If you have to ask... never mind... not worth the time)

I don't believe this has anything to do with me.
If you will read all the posts you will see the discussion is about Kraig Kinser.
No wonder you go by the name of "zero!"

Kraig Kinser has nothing on Kerry Madsens run this year, with luck on his side he'd have a Kings Royal and few Outlaw wins under his belt this season already.
