People always ask me, why don't you support the Canadian WOO shows, as I'm presently living outside Toronto.
Last nights "fiasco" at Drummondville-20 cars-60 dollar fan admisssion????-for what 11 travellers and 9 "fillers". Give me a break.
If you were at Ohsweken last year, I remember arriving for the first show during time trials.
First car I seen time was the 'King" and he was actually off the throttle completley going into the corners. Wow, I said.
Will not attend this weekends shows for that same reason. I don't care that thier 45 minutes away, I'd rather spend my money at a decent American track with true 410's-not "fillers" like we will see up here.

I can't speak for last nights show but if you are skipping Ohsweken plan on missing a great show. As a Canadian you should proud to have Ohsweken in your back yard as it beats the majority of any of the facilities in the US in my book. Great facility, wide racey track, promoter who cares about the fans and racers, etc. Wish I could make it to the Big O this weekend but I will be back for the Canadian Nationals in September.

Please stay home and watch Napcar on TV. No need for whiners at the track. I would rather have a fan who appreciates sprint car racing in your seat. I don't care if the field is 20 or 50 cars, when the WoO comes to town .. its a not to be missed show.
All you haters need not repond as everyone is tried of your complaining and "who needs the WoO" comments. We all know a few select people on here don't speak for the masses as every WoO show has a packed grandstand. Most of the fans in the stands have never even heard of "hoseheads" so all your debbie downers are the minority.

I have to ask, what is the point of your post? We don't even know who you are, yet your post is all about you (lots of "me"s and "I"s in there).

You are all correct in what you say.
I figure that I've seen sprint car racing at it's peak in the 70's. 80's and early 90's.
Perhaps I'm suffering sprint car "burnout" syndrome?, as I'm slowly reverting back to, God orbid, "doorslammer" drag racing.

When I saw the poster report a $60 admission fee, I had to see that for myself. Sure enough, the tracks website showed a $60 ticket fee for a one day show. OUCH!
In fairness to Ohsweken though, their web site shows a $35 ticket fee (all reserved) for each night of a two day show. A much better value than the previous track offered.

$60 for a one night show? Must seat about 1500, or theyknew that they'd be sold out even @ $100 per ticket.
Maybe they're raising capital to buy Casey's stock...

When the outlaws down under came to Australia for 3 years we had 3 day ticket prices pushing 300 bucks! But we did have 60+ car fields.

I am offended that you did not believe my post in the other thread. LOL I have been to Autodrome Drummond about half-a-dozen times for Northeast DIRT Modified Series races and for United Racing Club (URC) Sprint Car shows. For many years, the DIRT series would run Quebec tracks Granby and Drummond on back to back nights.
The Quebec fans are insane when an American touring series comes to Quebec. The Quebec fans will buy copies of Area Auto Racing News that are two or three weeks old just to get news. When the DIRT series goes to Quebec, the drivers usually sell every T-shirt that brought along, in every size.
I must suck as a fan compared to some of you, because I can't see me paying $60 Canadian ($58 American) to see any dirt track show short of Saturday night at the Knoxville Nationals or the Chili Bowl and thinking what a great deal it was. LOL

The Quebec tracks are also the only place I've ever been to that sell beer in the pits. Two-beer limit for drivers.

Yep, that is completely true. It absolutely floored me the first time I went there and saw beer sold in the pits and heard about the two beer limit for drivers. I wasn't sure if the tracks up there still had that rule, because I have not been there in six or seven years. I really never seen any drivers drinking before the races, but it just seemed so shocking that I can't believe any place would allow that.
