Looks like a nice field of around 100 sprinters pre entered for the 360s in Knoxville. Looking at the list there's a few guys not pre entered that should be I would think. Some drivers in the top 20 in Lucas oil ASCS pts. and some guys that usually run Knox.

Tony Bruce, Austin Wheatley, Justyn Cox, Channin Tankersly, Gary Wright, Andrew Marshala, Sean McClelland, JD Johnson, Dustin Daggett, Kaley Gharst, Nick Smith, etc.

Its on most of these guys' websites that will be there..just wondering why they aint pre entered. Hopefully they will all show up and see a nice field of 110-120 360's! I cant wait to get down to Knoxville next Thursday!!

360 Nationals is a great show. Very underated, racing in the shadow of the 410 Nationals.

Dustin Daggett will not be there due to running SOD races the same weekend. It's unfortunate that SOD and the Patriots have scheduled points races that weekend, keeping a few cars away.

Regardless, it'll be a good show.

I would much rather go to Knoxville for the 360 Nationals. I just think they have more competitive racing than the 410's. The one thing I hate is that in the past the 360 Nationals have been treated like the "red headed step child" (nothing personal to all red headed step children. That is just an expression - and this is an official disclaimer). I only hope that someday - maybe this year - Knoxville will see fit to give the A feature of the 360 Nationals a decent track. I really don't understand the local fan base not realizing what good racing this is and support it 100%.

Why don't they have a decent track? You think the track is not prepared as well. They have better racing but not on a well prepared track? They have a three day show. What would you like for them to do that they don't do now

I do not understand how you make it sound like it is Knoxville's fault that 360s not bigger than it is and we have no class because 360s are not bigger or as big than the 410s are.

They are a support class and will be as long as there are 410s.

There would't be a 360 national without the track putting it on. I know it is not because they make a lot of money with it.

I agree that they have good races but I do not think "red headed step child" gets their own three day show. Why do you think it was moved to the week before the 410s?

Need suggestions on how to make it bigger other than some body sould do something.

I am a huge fan of the 360 nats. Single biggest reason the turnout isnt better is because the 410 nats are only a week away and alot of people just can't swing it financially and/or are not able to get the extra time off. Plain and simple. I know they've experimented with different weekends to do it, and obviously this weekend is the best fit with the best fan and car turnout.

So they do it this week because it is not as good or better or what. You said both

360's are great, sprint car racing in general is great. You can pick any 3 day weekend of the year and hold the 360 Nats and here's what you'll get for attendence: Thursday-800, Friday-1500, Saturday with the 410 regulars as the support class-5000( a little more than a average Saturday). IMO Knoxville does a great job for the 360 for no more $ than they could possibly make on it. Duncans take great pride in giving everyone the best track possible every night and are the best in the business.

Actually... the 360 Natls have only been the week before the Nationals for like 5 yrs now... used to be the 2nd week in June. If you think the attendance is bad now, it was 10 times worse when it was in June. I think they moved the 360 Natls to the week before the Nationals because of the TOC. To entice guys to come out to the TOC (more worth their time), they could also run the 360 Natls. It worked too, as the TOC had record car counts. It also created the 10 races in 10 days and the Southern Iowa Sprintweek. Not sure what fell apart on the TOC deal (likely lack of fan support?) - but I'm pumped for the non-wing show, and hope the weather is good this year (for all 10 days).

If you have been to the last 5 360 Nationals, and the last 5 410 Nationals, you would agree 110% with what Carol said. The racing on the qualifying nights is outstanding, always has been. Last year's Friday night show was one of the best of the year - 360 or 410. Even if McCarl hadn't beat Brown for the win in a photo finish in the feature, there was still great racing all night. I thought last year's crowd was a little better than it had been in past years on the qualifying nights - so maybe some people are finally starting to get the picture.

My bad. I'm saying the weekend before the 410 nationals has proven to be the best turn-out.

I couldn't agree more chilly!! For me I like the fact that it doesn't have all the hoopla and the race is as good and more often then not better then the 410 nats.

But there aren't enough people in the stands to hoop

If you think there are less people because of less hoop I got ocean front in Arizona to sell you.

Like I said no people in the stands no hoop.

Hoop cost money you know

They GIVE 360s 3 days now
