then why split them? don't they advertise the car as the "roth motorsports-DTR #83"? isn't roth motorsports close enough? i wasn't trying to write a PR release for them. i believe beef packers has had nothing to do with the car since mr. roth sold that company. that is all i was trying to point out.

Wow.
While it's true that it isn't Beef Packers on the hood... I agree it's a bit trivial to smack someone over it.
Then again... Hoseheads forum is home of the keyboard commando. When in doubt... bash and act stupid. Well... it's not an act for all.

well i don't feel anyone was "smacked". believe me, when i start smacking, there will be no confusion. maybe my phrase of "to set the record straight" was a wrong choice of words. still as i said, i was just making the comment that beef packers was no longer associated with the car. sorry to start a fire storm. can everyone just set the front wheels down now? we have threads with the possie and outlaw fans bashing each other and you pick this to complain about?

Damn...I wasn't even gonna comment cause it gets a little bit rediculous at times on here.....but...
"To set the record straight" Wheelied1029 is the Mother of Tim and Bud Kaeding...so trying to tell her or set the record straight or whatever is flat ignorant.
Thanks for playing...

listen you little butt kisser, i didn't make that statement to wheelied, i made it BEFORE she even posted. so pull your head out of your dark ass! i already said i was just making a comment that i believe beef packers is not affiliated with the 83 car. i never slammed anyone (until now) and i was never really critical of anyone (until you opened up your yap). i know who wheelied is and i never told her to set the record straight. does that set the record straight with you? now go back to playing with yourself. jeez a person can't try to add an honest little bit of info in here anymore.

i have heard members on the team say that it is not the beef packers car any more. so to make mention and give roth motorsports and dtr their due attention is not really so bad, is it? i didn't really see anyone disrespect the person who originally called it the beef packer car.
to indy and beyond!!

All of this just to recognize Kaeding is in Knoxville! Late July and early August is always the most exciting time of the year in the message boards!
Can't wait to see Sammy in the TMC car! It should be fresh and ready to rocket!

So Dennis Roth sold his company, Beef Packers, to Cargill, which made Cargill the largest meat packer in the US I believe. As such Mr. Roth's team was renamed DTR Motorsports.
