Special thanks to World Racing Group for hosting the fifth annual 410 sprint car summit this past Wednesday at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Various promoters of weekly 410 tracks, series and sanctioning bodies were in attendance discussing cost reduction, ways to market the sport, improve safety and help better advance the overall health of 410 winged sprint car racing.
Dan Simpson, Alan Handy, Gary Thomas and George Hague flew back to Pennsylvania to be on hand and represent the West Coast at the summit.
Some meaningful topics and interesting ideas were discussed during the summit and various committees were formed, with a second meeting planned during the 50th Knoxville Nationals in August.
We also have to give big thanks to the World of Outlaws for all their hospitality during the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway on Tuesday. It was a great facility and track general manager Gary Risch Jr. and his staff should be commended on an outstanding event.
It was a great night overall and everyone really enjoyed the racing. Despite a heavy rain shower in the afternoon the track was in good shape and the drivers put on a terrific show.
It was also nice to have the chance to hang out and catch up with videographer Dean Mills, Jonathan Allard and the 0 team, Jason and Robin Meyers, Steve Gomez and other California friends during the night.

When I saw the Kasey Kahne cars parked on tarp I was thinking the pictures were from Petaluma.
I hope you had a good time GT.
