Schneiderman Boys' Strong Finishes Continue
(West Burlington, IA – 7/21/2010) On a very hot and muggy Saturday afternoon Josh Schneiderman and his Deuce Motorsports #49 headed back to the Knoxville Raceway for another night of racing action. The night began with a bang as the team blew another trailer tire on the way to the track, making it the third in the last three weeks. However the night quickly got better when the team drew number one for qualifying making it two weeks in a row the #49 would be heading out early for time trials. Josh would hit his marks in time trials aboard his Liberty Transport, Hephner Racing Products, ButlerBuilt sprinter and would register the 3rd fastest time of the night out of the 31 entries. "I was extremely happy with our qualifying effort, you always want fast time, but we will take 3rd. The car and motor continue to be spot on for time trials, which makes my job so easy," commented Josh.
As the sun began to set and the humidity began to rise, the i WIRELESS, Automotive Machine, Engler Injection #49 would hit the track for the heat race. Starting from the 6th position Josh wasted little time in getting to the front as he quickly moved to the 3rd spot and would begin to pursue the leaders. When the checkers waved Josh would cross the line in the 3rd position. "We had a great start in the heat race, which is something we've been really working hard on," said the 22 year old, "The car was a tick tight, but we've been so fast as of late that I'm really starting to like how it feels."
As the feature began to roll out the Ideal Ready Mix, Morning Sun Farm Implement, Pro Shocks machine would line up in the 4th position. When the green flag waved it was apparent the #49 was extremely fast. By lap 10, Josh had moved his AMP Energy, Weld Racing Wheels, CARQUEST Auto Parts sprint into the 3rd position. Disaster struck on lap 13 as the engine began to develop a miss, but Josh kept his cool and continued on. Josh was able to limp the J&J Auto Racing, R2 Enterprises, Frankland Racing Products racer home in the 3rd spot, holding off some of the best in the business on only 7 cylinders. "We were extremely fast early in the race and were getting better and better as the race went on," said the UNI Senior. "When the motor started to lay down my heart sank, but I kept checking the oil pressure and there were no changes, so I stayed on the track and we were able to hold off those guys and get our first podium."
"We really have to thank Manny Rockhold of Automotive Machine as he already has the motor ready to go," commented Schneiderman, "Drew and I stayed up till 6:30am Sunday morning pulling the motor and Dad ran it over and helped Manny take it apart Sunday afternoon. I have to thank Mike and Patti Robuck as well, they've been helping us the last couple weeks and have helped us with some new ideas that are making us even faster. I'm happy to have combined two great minds, in Dad and Mike, and am lucky enough to have them working with the team."
Jarrod, aboard his i wireless, Shottenkirk Parts Express, BlackBird Motorsports #88 would qualify in the 17th position for the evening. As he rolled out for the heat race he found his starting spot outside the first row, next to friend and veteran driver Randy Martin. Jed took off like a rocket and would sweep past Martin off of the second corner taking the lead. The Zaiser Landscaping, Hephner Racing Products, J&J Steel machine would lead for the entire 8 lap heat race for Jed's first heat win of his young 360 career. The CARQUEST Paints, Bobby Jacks Engines, J&J Auto Racing #88 would line up 9th in the heat race. After battling just inside the top ten for over half the race, Jed worked hard on his way to a solid 14th place finish.

Deuce Motorsports could not be in existence without its sponsors. This week we would like to give thanks to Engler Injection. Tim and Tammy Engler have been involved with Deuce Motorsports since we started 410 racing back in 2008 and have been a great help to our team. The knowledge that Tim and his staff over at Engler Injection provide is the best in the business. Engler Injection builds fuel injection systems, custom made pulling chassis, gears, shafts, specialty CNC products, racing engines and some custom machining. The success that Engler has had through the year is just a small testament at what a team can receive when they buy an Engler!
