Wow what next this has been a terrible year for sprintcar drivers starting with Hockett (RIP) then Danny Smith breaks his back then Wayne Johnson and Travis Rilat & his crew member Tyson (RIP) and I can remember not so long ago how bad I felt for T-Mac after he got hurt witch almost seems iralevent now.My prayers go out to all of there families and friends.With all of this happening I have lost my spunk for the nationals it just wont be the same this year without those 4 drivers are a huge part of sprint car racing as we know it.Hang in there guys sprintcar nation is with you.

You forgot about Cody Darrah, Tyler Walker, Scott Bonnell and Joey Saldana. I'm sure there is more that we fans don't know about. If I could some how muster up the strength and money to make it to the Nationals, I'm sure it would heal all wounds, atleast for a awhile. Hope you go and have a great time.

For me, Knoxville is like a family reunion. You show up sad after a loved one has died, but once you get together with family, you just feel better.

Agreed Hawker. Although It's been a tough year for sprint car drivers and fans, hopefully everyone can get closure and have a good time for the 50th knoxville nationals.

I think there is usually a benfit auction of some sort in the Skate Pit and may be a great way to help our race families out. Also hope they have T-shirts for Jesse and our other drivers in need of support. They'd go like hot cakes.
