Yeah, but you don't hear the Ohio folks talking trash like some of the Posse folks.
I think it is wonderful when a "local" can beat the big boys but you SELDOM see a local go out from home and beat them.
Big difference.

You can't talk this kind of logic to these guys ; )

Schatz was fast, but second feature was inverted. That is the only reason Saldana won it, that and the track went away as did passing. Dewease spanked the Outlaws. As have Stevie Smith and Ed Lynch in recent years. The World of Also Rans are living up to their moniker.
|
Certainly looks like the track went away if you look at the starting positions of the top 10 in the 2nd A Main.
Second A-main (30 laps) - Starting Position [#]
1) 9-Joey Saldana[4] [$15,000]
2) 7-Craig Dollansky[9] [$5,500]
3) 14-Jason Meyers[10] [$3,200]
4) 15-Donny Schatz[13] [$2,800]
5) 91-Paul McMahan[11] [$2,500]
6) 7S-Jason Sides[12] [$2,300]
7) 1-Sammy Swindell[6] [$2,200]
8) 15H-Sam Hafertepe Jr.[8] [$2,100]
9) 30C-Lance Dewease[14] [$2,050]
10) 11K-Kraig Kinser[15] [$2,000]
9th to 2nd? 10th to 3rd? 13th to 4th? Thanks for another well reasoned argument, Cubic.

Track conditions were excellent for twin 30 lap features, kudos to Lernerville. Schatz stopping moving forward once cushion was the only thing left however. Is going to have to find a way at the Grove however. Posse has to come from 12th EVERY week and they have twice as many good cars as the Outlaws.

I am not even sure what point you are trying to make there. The 410 field at Lernerville is relatively weak. There isn't a regular Lernerville team that has anything close to the budget of most Outlaw teams. I say that as someone that has actually been to Lernerville for both WoO shows and non WoO shows. Pretty much the the only places the Outlaws ever have to worry about locals stepping up and winning or running up front is Ohio and central Pennsylvania.

How many times have they won from 12th at the Grove this year? I am just curious, not busting.

Yep, and with those "twice as many good cars" they are ALWAYS winning at Limiland, Knoxville, etc. You get the point!

This topic is soooo old, but I think the point he was trying to make is Lernerville's regular drivers, including Lynch, aren't considered "Central PA". Never have been. Lernerville probably has more ties to Ohio than Central PA really, kinda like Hagerstown does with Central PA even though it's in MD. Your winner had run a total of 30 times EVER at Lernerville, that would be a season and half if he was a regular. I believe he started in 1988?
Too say there are twice as many good cars at a WoO race at Williams Grove might be a little misleading, however, there are twice as many drivers that can WIN at a Williams Grove WoO race vs any track outside of CA, OH, and IA.

Au contraire my friend. When OH locals put like 4-5 in the top 10 at a WOO show at Fremont or Attica a couple years ago, I thought we'd never hear the end of it. The funny thing was that Stevie Smith won the race. Then there's always those that complain that more central PA cars don't come out to Eldora or other OH tracks but the road travels both ways.
You're right it is great to see a local anywhere beat the big boys. LD has done it at Lernerville and Charlotte in recent years and had a 2nd earlier this year in TX.

Looks like 12 of 15 to me with Dewease, Walker and Shaffer being non-WOO. Last I knew Lance was driving a maxim not J&J?

the main event winners did a good job, but an outlaw still took home the biggest trophy and the title for the show. he started right next to cubics boyfriend and whooped him in the second main. so jump up and down till your pants fall off cubic, an outlaw won the overall. live with it. lance went from 4th to 1st in the first main and donny went from 5th to 2nd. thats pretty much a tie, since the event wasn't over yet. in the second main, donny whooped lance. shall we spill some milk for cubic to cry over?

Cubic does this over and over again just to attract the haters. And, it works everytime. Get over it the Posse won off the porch, whoopdedo.
