The Schneiderman boy's cars sit idle before hot laps at Knoxville.

Schneiderman Boys Have Solid Weekend

(West Burlington, IA – 7/13/10) This past Saturday, Josh Schneiderman and the Deuce Motorsports #49 were back at the Knoxville Raceway for twin feature night. The night kicked off well for the i wireless, Automotive Machine, Engler Injection #49 as Josh would be the fifth car pushed out for time trials and would register the 6th fastest time of the night. "The track was going away fast, but we finally went out early and put down a solid lap," said Josh.

With the strong qualifying effort the Liberty Transport, ButlerBuilt, Weld Wheels #49 would start the heat race in the 5th position. With a tough line up Josh would maintain and finish in the 5th spot, qualifying him for the A-Main. "We were really good in the heat race, but didn't get the best start," comments the driver, "We are working on our heat races because Nationals time is coming and we know that we will have to be on top of our game to make it through that heat race."

For twin feature night the invert is thrown out and the 1st feature is lined up by time trials. Josh and his MSFI, Ideal Ready Mix, Hephner Racing Products sprinter would start the race in 6th place. Josh got a solid start and settled into the 6th spot. The AMP Energy, Weld Wheels, CarQuest Auto Parts #49 would fight for a top 5 spot for the entire race before settling for the 7th position at the checkers. "We had a pretty strong car all race," commented Josh, "The car was really coming in towards the end, but a couple cars were stronger on the bottom and had already passed us."

The field is totally inverted for the second feature, which would put Josh and his Deuce Motorsports #49 on the inside of row seven. As the green waved Schneiderman took off and began to work his way around the bottom of the speedway. The i wireless sprinter keep clicking off cars and would cross the race in the seventh spot. "We were very happy to have two solid top ten finishes to end the night," said the UNI student, "The car was very strong in the second feature and I can't wait to get back to Knoxville because we learned a couple things that I think are really going to make us even better in the weeks to come.

Jarrod and his i wireless, Shottenkirk Parts Express, Hephner Racing Products #88 would qualify in the 21st position. For the heat race Jed would line up in the 7th spot. As he worked the bottom to perfection he would work hard on the 5th and final transfer spot, but feel a little short at the line finishing 6th. The Blackbird Motorsports, Bobby Jacks Racing Engines, J&J Steel #88 would line up for the B-Main in the 6th spot. Jed would fight his way forward finishing in the 4th position, transferring to the A-Main. The #88 would pick off some cars in the A-Main on his way to a 15th place run.

On Friday the team visited the Lee County Speedway as the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders were on the card during the Lee County Fair. Jarrod was in his silver #88 sprinter, with Josh driving the blue #88 with the motor from the #2 car, which is waiting for some parts to come in after a recent crash at 34 Raceway.

Both cars would be in the same heat race with Josh starting outside row #1 in his i wireless #49 and Jarrod starting inside row #2 in his Shottenkirk Parts Express #88. Josh looked good in his first 360 start of the season as he took the checkers by over a straightway. Jarrod had a tough start, with not much racetrack to grip on the bottom and would come home in the 8th position. Jarrod would start the B-Main in the 8th position and would race his way into the 4th spot, making a transfer into the A-Main. Josh would take home a 5th place finish in the Dash, after starting 6th.

In the 25 lap A-Main, Josh would line up 4th, with Jed lining up 19th. With the track laying rubber early, it made for very tough passing. Josh fell into the 3rd spot right behind the leaders, where he would finish. Jarrod would work his way to the 14th position.
