52 mods and 22 e mods. Ten bucks to get in. Crowd was a decent one for a Tues night was. Races went way to long. IMO it was a combination of the yellows in the e-mods, time trialing 52 mods and starting a bit late.
Had a mod driver from Louisanna and one from Tenn. Other states were Kansas, Oklahoma,Taxas and Arkansas
Chickering had fast time for the night.
Excellent racing in the feature track looked to be a follow the leader track in what SMP called their B features, heats. As the night went on the track got better and better, By feature time for the mods it was a two groove track. During the A you could have thrown a towel over the top five. They were that close. Plenty of passing back and forth for the lead. When the checks flew it was Timms 1st and Chickering 2nd.
This promotions group will find their feet I think.

The feature was the best mod race I have seen in a long time.....maybe ever, it was awsome. I was very impressed by Stovall, I knew when I saw him he would be good but Jesus that man can drive! I thought it was a shame that so many of the top contenders got taken out so early though, if Rodney Sanders, the 44 from Tennessee, and Chad Davis would have still been up there it could have been even better!
I completely agree about how late it went though, the E mods were rediculous and I did not like the time trials. I was still considering going to a few more of these shows this week but I can't do that all week and still drive back to Duncan and get up for work all week.
Can I change my name to ModifiedFanRob?

Wow! The SMP A-main was absolutely fantastic! And what a turn out! Although, I would have appreciated a little more concern for getting a weekday show done in a timely manner. The time trials, which I'm normally not a fan of; I can excuse as I thought the SMP format was fair, it was done quickly and efficiently, and I actually kinda enjoyed it. I can also possibly excuse the late start, as we've had a lot of rain lately, and the track ended up being great by feature time. Hats off to Brill and his crew on the great racing surface for sure! But the sport mod feature was absolutely inexcusable in my opinion. After a certain amount of time elapsed the race either should have been called, or pulled off the track to resume their feature after the SMP show. Instead they were pandered to with cautions and courtesy laps for every car that chose to go into the hot pits. Doing nothing but drawing out an already troubled feature and delaying the main event for around an hour. Inexcusable in my opinion. In the end, though, the SMP A-main was great and was certainly worth the wait!

Also... what an incrediblely varied mix of cars! I don't think I have seen such a great mix of locals and out of state cars, at a race here in OK, since the first $20,000 to win Sooner Roundup out at Clinton. Usually, the mix is either mostly out of state cars with a few local sprinkled in (USMTS and big money shows) or mostly locals with a few outta state cars sprinkled in. It was great seeing Chickering, Bragg, and McClaskey get 3 of the 5 top times outta of the 5 groups. Not to mention Jeff Autry coming out and only making one lap in time trials before breaking and setting what I recall as being the 2nd fastest time of the night! Very impressive! Shame he broke, would have loved to have seen him in the feature.

The feature was a good one and only for 10 bucks. Alot of passing and good hard racing. I too thought the E-mod feature was way to long and got bored when the modifieds had time trials. We should have been out of there by eleven not twelve thirty

It's really a shame that they had so much trouble during the e-mod feature. Actually, for the last 3 to 4 weeks both the e-mod and mod features have been quite good with hardly any cautions.....but that's racing.
