OUTLAW MOTOR SPEEDWAY SERVES UP OCRS SPRINT CARS FRIDAY NIGHT!

Tulsa, Oklahoma (July 12, 2010)

Outlaw Motor Speedway in Oktaha will host the ultra quick sprint cars of the Oil Capital Racing Series for the third time this season on Friday, July 16th. Jamie Passmore, who won at OMS the last time OCRS sprinters took to the speedy 3/8 mile track on June 25th, comes into this event as the point leader in the series over Rafe Essary by 57 points. Essary had Passmore in a deadlock tie for the points lead when the cars lined up to start the feature event in Ada Oklahoma last Saturday. However, an unfortunate miscue by Essary in the race followed by Passmore’s victory gave the defending champion just a slither of some breathing space. Essary will look to reclose that gap this Friday night.

The battle for the 2010 Brodix Cylinder Heads / Broken Arrow Lawn & Garden OCRS ‘Rookie Of The Year’ honors is taking on a competitive twist also. Inola’s Terry Easum, who at one point looked as if he would be the odds on favorite to earn that distinction and the new set of Brodix heads that go to the ROY recipient at years end is only 11 points ahead of a surging Brady Demeree. Only 21 markers behind Demeree and quietly sneaking into this battle is Miss Kacee Frazier. Frazier has caught the eye of her peers, officials and fans alike as to her progress as the season continues to unfold.

Tulsa’s Mike Goodman, Tim Kent, Fred Maddox, Travis Jenkins and Miss Shayla Waddell are currently sitting 3-7 respectively in the championship points chase and are all expected to be in attendance. This will make OCRS’ next to last stop at OMS before a finale 2010 run on September 10th. Track information is as follows:

Outlaw Motor Speedway will open their gates at 5pm with racing set to begin at 7pm. OCRS drivers meeting will be held at 6pm with hot laps immediately after.

Directions: Track is located 8 miles south of Muskogee and 11 miles north of Highway 40 on highway 69. You will easily see the track on the west side of HWY 69.

Track number is: (918) 687-9200
