Since you were apparently in T2 - do you know what the deal was between Ballou and Darland?

What, you didn't think he'd just stopped to chat as long as he was passing by, and maybe just give him a little positive reenforcement?

If he was just chatting, evidently he thought Darland could use some pointers on gesturing while he talks... so did the throng of lookylous on the other side of the fence that followed him to the pits and beyond the view of Dean Mills' camera. wink

Then I wasn't the only one who was getting a kick out of watching the fans, watching Balou. You'll have to admit that everything he did seemed measured and in control, unlike the way he drives at times....Raise The Roof Man, do I love to watch Bobby Balou race.Thumbs Up

Telling people in the pit stands to f-off and to go f-themselves that's really being in control of himself, they followed him to the pit exit because a couple dudes wanted to beat his a$$.He may drive hard, but he is a punk!

I'm a Hoosier by birth, and knowing those boy's, and because it was Dave Darland he was talking to ( the home town hero) they probably needed to to be told to #*$& off!

I was born in Indiana myself and have raced back there many times in the past 30 yrs. so I don't need you to tell me about them boy's.It has nothing to do with Him talking to Dave as he has showed his b.s before involving other people who aren't the big fan favorites.I personally saw him try to fight with a driver who was underaged a few years back in the Vegas pits after the races over something that was his own fault.I guess if doesn't like things being done to him,he shouldn't do it to others. He will pop off at the mouth to the wrong person some day and get the attitude adjustment he needs. If he wants respect then he has to learn to give it first.

I'm a big fan of Dave Darland, who isn't, but it would have been the same if it was, hmmm, let's say Leland McSpadden at my home track, Manzy. If some Midwest wild boy walked up to Leland like that, regardless if he was right or wrong, he would have caught hell... That's the way it is, and hopefully the way it will alway's be. It's called passion, and you'll never hear me calling it a bad thing, and I didn't!... As for Balou telling them to stick it, that's OK too.

I know who you are Terry, and if I remember right we were both in Yuma in 92 for that wild CRA race, and a name mentioned above gave you his winning trophy for your birthday that weekend. He also has a place in Cholla bay, where I launch going out looking for BIGFISH!
