How much are tickets for this event and are they reserved?
What kind of car count can we expect for the sprints and midgets?

General Admission - $25
Reserved GA - $35 (includes pit pass)
Kids 6 - 12 $15
Under 5 - Free
I blew up the poster for the event on their web page. That's where I got the info.

I don't know about tix. My guess is that the midgets will be in the low 20's since POWRi is running 250 miles away in Belleville, so that will keep Burlington from seeing the huge count like what we saw this week at Tri-City. On the sprints, my guess will be in the high 20's. There should be quite a few doing double duty.

I've been worried about the sprint car count. I'm not sure how many cars are touring, but they'll need some help from Indiana/Illinois cars to fill out the field. I'm guessing some local 360s will run, maybe even a few 305s, but I can't see many Iowa 410s showing up. Not sure why they ran against Knoxville, but I'm assuming they couldn't get the Friday date for whatever reason, even though USAC is off.

It's not like the Knoxville cars would pull the wing off anyway. Knoxville 410's seldom travel anywhere, this Wednesday's WoO race at Sedalia will be proof of that. There were 28 sprints at Tri-City for an unsanctioned nonwing sprint race this past weekend, I would look for a similar count for Burlington.

The one race I'm wondering about is the TNT race this weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway. USAC sprints have the weekend off, however Indiana Midget Week starts Wednesday... Either way, I will not miss the TNT this week and the Burlington race next week...

I'm looking forward to the race Sat. I hope there's a good car count. I haven't heard if any locals will be running or not. Hard to say this isn't a real heavy wingless area. The Sprint Invaders aren't scheduled on Sat. so they might get a few.
The way things have been going at 34 this year, it better not rain. So far the forcast is looking good, just HOT.

Weather looks to be pretty hot, but no precipitation. That would be a blessing.
Hawker should be pretty close on his guesses for car count. I'll try to have a pretty accurate list posted this week. If you know of any local cars planning to run, feel free to post them...

Checked the 34 website, www.34raceway.com and is says:
"USAC SPRINTS & MIDGETS Double Header on
Dirt! LEVI JONES, BRAD SWEET & TRACY HINES are just a few
of the USAC stars that will be in attendance!"
I assume Damion Gardner, Brian Clauson, Jerry Coons Jr., & Chris Windom will also be there since they are in the top 5 in points.

I'm going and I don't care how many cars. One of the best midget races I ever saw was 13 Powri cars at Donnallson. And I'd bet there's more than that at Burlington. Ought to be great night.

There are a handful of non-wingers in Illinois. I'm guessing there will be a nice field of cars. Two Knoxville guys that are signed up for the USAC Knoxville Nationals are Mike Moore and Johnny Herrera. Any other night, and they would be there with a couple of others like Wayne Johnson I'm thinking...
I hope the race is a success...
