Last nights All Star race at Lernerville (Charlie Holben, Pete Miller III and Scott Bonnell) were involved in a horrific crash on the front straightaway during lap seven. Bonnell and Miller came to a rest along the inside retaining wall, while Holben's car landed upside just beyond the flagstand and burst into flames. The indescribable scene to follow ended with Charlie Holben being airlifted to UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh where he is recovering and resting in the company of his family and friends in the the ICU with 2nd degree burns to 36% of his body . Cards and well wishes can be sent to UPMC Mercy at 1400 Locust Street Pittsburgh, PA 15219 or for free online at https://ecards.upmc.com/default.asp in care of Charlie Holben. Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers!!
