A photo I took 30 years ago... Steve in the long tailed Mitchell chassis Kinser 11 at Knoxville.

I bet that Gaerte with those pipes would certainly let people within 5 miles know there was a sprint car about to happen! The sound really had to echo off the old wooden grandstands.

Love that tail tank! Suppose it can hold enough fuel for 50 laps around Knoxville without having to detune the engine a little?

Is the top left corner of the wing designed like that or is it folded over? What was the thinking (from a physics or aerodynamic point of view) of taking the corner out like that? Also, the front wing looks like someone left a parts tray on the car when it was sent out. wink
