A group called "Flynnville Train."
They're a local band from the Muncie, In. area. I know 4 of the 5 guys. I Drag Race with two of them and went to school with another.
They started out several years ago and later hooked up with "The Kentucky Headhunters." They helped the guys out with their first recordings and used them as an opening act for a short time.
Well recently, someone put their CD into the hands of Toby Keith. After listening, Keith brought them to Las Vegas to see them live and then committed to signing them to his record label right there on the spot.
They've been touring with Toby Keith since January as his opening act and will continue through the rest of the tour. They filmed a video recently for one of their songs called "Last Good Time" and I guess it's been airing like crazy on the Country Music video channels.
Their stuff is more Country Rock/Blues, than Country. Just wondered if anybody has seen or heard of them yet. I think this is really cool for them since most of them worked crappy $9-$10/hr jobs trying to make a living.
I just hope the business doesn't chew 'em up and spit 'em out.
