All this bitching and moaning, the downright nasty, hurtful and disrespectful comments alot of you so called sprintcar fans have displayed on HH lately is begining to make myself and alot of others SICK!!! When is enough, enough already. I just have to say, you should all be ashamed of yourselves. All this crap involving the Big Game team, the rediculous, ugly things said about the drivers involved, make me embarrassed as a sprintcar fan. The negativity on this board has reached an all time low!!! Today we lost one of our own, so folks, maybe its time to get back to reality. Time to show our fearless heroes how much we appreciate and respect what they do. Its because of their courage, passion and sacrifice that we enjoy this sport so much....... And, for arguments sake, you can take your so called "free speech" theories and shove em'.

I would say that your "unbelievably astute use of the english language" sort of proves the point made by the thread starter. There is an old saying that seems to fit. "Better to remain silent & be thought a fool, than to open your mouth & remove all doubt."

Clowns like this should be PERMANENTLY banned from the forum.

You just love these 'tough guys' that hide behind and/or change screen names to insult drivers, tracks, and officials.

Legit questions and comments are one thing .... rippin' the above for the sake of some type of weird sexual satisfaction or whatever is really just a way for some of these 'pervs' to get their jollies.

I cant stop thinking about Jesse Hockett and all the times he made me smile driving a sprint car. I hate that this thread was even needed but it was.

There was a time, not so long ago, alot of the posters here agreed to disagree and while we stood by are arguments, it was accepted.

There was also a time when rumors were posted and 98% of them were true and posters wouldn't get slammed for what they had learned. Car owners and drivers at the time would not be afraid to comment or post what they knew while "on the road" chasing racing.

But the popularity of the internet and this website, in recent years, has turned this message board and all others a free for all with no self respect to anybody. It is a shame, really, that people choose to do stuff like this as it makes nothing but clutter and nothing worth reading.

And yes myself, Hawker, Don Hubbard, MSPN, BRR and a few others that still get involved on here know because we were some of the first regulars when Alan turned from plummer to develope the undisputed best sprint car racing website back in 1996 I believe it was.

My how times have changed in fifteen years on the track and on the internet.

I don't think there is anything wrong with discussing rumors or criticizing drivers in a constructive manner. Arguing over who is the bigger jerk between Sammy or McCarl is pretty low though. The fact is that most people on this board don't know either driver except in passing. The reality is that neither one is a jerk. I think McCarl likes to put on a show and he's like a pro wrestler in that respect, working the crowd like a champ. I think Sammy just doesn't like attention. But what do I know?

It's kind of a gray area though, because the driver's are public figures. In my opinion they all deserve our respect.
