One Schneiderman scores 3rd consecutive top 10 at Knoxville and one brings home 2nd at 34 Raceway

(West Burlington, IA – 5/25/10) – Josh Schneiderman and the Deuce Motorsports #49 returned to the Knoxville Raceway this past Saturday for night #4 of the Championship Cup. The I Wireless, Liberty Transport, AMP Energy machine pushed off in the eighth qualifying slot and would lay down a lap of 15.753, which would be the 8th fastest time of the night. "I missed the bottom a little bit in time trials, which really hurt our lap," commented Josh, "The extra sun and wind had dried out the track and made it tricky to get your car to stick to the bottom side of the race track."

With the sun setting in the distance, the Morning Sun Farm Implement, Ideal Ready Mix, Engler Injection sprinter would start in the 4th spot in the first heat race. With a stellar start, Josh would move his J&J Auto Racing, Automotive Machine sprinter into the 3rd position and eventually make his move on the 2nd place car. Josh worked hard to run down the leader, but would settle for the runner up position. "Man I was so happy with our start in that heat race!" smiled the 22 year old. "The crew has been working with me to improve on our starts and we had a couple of nice ones in the heat race and feature this weekend. My dad and the crew continue to give me a very fast racecar and it makes it so much easier for me."

With the temperature and humidity still very high, Josh and his R2 Enterprises, ButlerBuilt, Hephner Racing Products #49 would push off for the start of the feature. With the invert for the feature being only six cars, Josh would have to start in the 7th spot. On the original start a number of cars got together, moving the #49 up a row to the 5th starting spot. As the green flagged waved for the second time Josh quickly raced his way into the 3rd position. As the race waged on Josh would continue to fight and claw his way through lapped traffic, racing with some of the most talented racers in the country. When the checkered flag waved Josh and his CARQUEST Auto Parts, Weld Racing, Hoosier Tire machine would cross in the 6th place. "The feature was an exciting one to say the least," said the Cedar Falls resident, "We had a great start and were super strong early. Lapped traffic kind of got the best of us, but we kept fighting to stay up front. I was upset with myself because the crew had given me a superb racecar and I feel like I made some wrong moves here and there and let some cars slip by us. All in all with the stellar competition it was another great night for our team and I couldn't be any happier with the way our season has started off."

On Sunday night, the rain-postponed late model special event at 34 Raceway gave Jarrod and his Team Woody #88 305 a night of exciting racing right in their own back yard. The crew readied the I wireless, Graystone Construction, Mountain Dew, J&J Auto Racing chassis with Schulz Farms power for action. Jarrod would start on the outside of row 3 in the first heat. He wheeled his J&J Steel, Pro Shock, HRP Wings, Blackbird Motorsports mount to a stout 3rd place finish. The re-draw would put him in the 5th starting position in the feature. Crew members, Rich, Drew and John had the Radar Graphics, CarQuest Auto Parts, Midland Performance ride tuned well. Jarrod worked the bottom groove hitting his marks and drag racing his way into second place. Through several restarts he would pressure the leader, but when the checkers flew, he took home a very strong 2nd place finish.
