Definitely a shame for Brian Leppo. Rahmer winning from 24th is cool, but is also would have been neat to have Posse second-tier stars beat the Outlaws both nights.

At first I felt bad for Leppo.... but they had a fuel stop on lap 8. Maybe they forgot the fuel jug during the open red?

While I will not take away from Freddie's amazing run, he did get a 10 spot handicap before they ever got one lap in.

Anytime you got a lot of restarts, you gotta watch the 51.

Hawker's point is valid... but any way you slice it, that was a 24th to first run. Absolutely amazing run from a world-class driver.
Someday a WoO regular might even win a race at the Grove. Doesn't appear likely... but one can only dream. (sorry for the severe sarcasm... seems appropriate though)
Kudos to the Posse for taking care of business yet again. Quite the streak!

From 24th to win against the Outlaws is still pretty tough even with the "free" spots. No doubt about it PA is the toughest part of the country to win races in no matter who you are.

It also helps to come from the back with the double file restarts. It's not the same as doing it with single file restarts, which is much tougher. Plus all the cars taken out on the first lap.

it was so easy that even Rahmer could do it...sure is ODD the higher dollar teams seemed to be the ones smacking around the track and getting passed tho!
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

Steve Kinser won at least two WoO A Features from 24th...Kinda.
29 August 1979 at Lernerville, Late arrival to the track from Gaerte's Shop and not getting a Qualification lap down eight balls him for the night. No worry. Starting 14th in the B he drives in fifteen laps to the 2nd spot for the transfer. Starting 24th in the A and aided hugely with attrition, he takes the lead from Kramer Williamson the 34th lap of the 40 onto winning over the remaining seven cars.
20 September 1987 at Calistoga, Although he officially starts this Feature from the 6th spot, but an opening lap spin which he restarts the deal shotgun on the field, worked his way through and takes the lead on the 22nd lap from Brad Doty in the 30 lapper onto the win. Record book says one thing, but it was won from dead last.
No less impressive and certainly worthy of an honorable mention for not winning was on 15 July 2005 at The Knight Before the King's Royal Eldora when Tim Shaffer necessitated the use of a Provisional Start in the Feature and from 26th worked his way into the 3rd spot behind Steve and Jason Meyers.

They weren't smacking round the track, they were getting punted by Montieth and the rest of the muts who don't have a clue but seem to be able to make the feature consistently at the grove but nowwhere else.

Doesn't really matter if entire field other than Rahmer crashed out. He started 24th, won and there will be no asterisk in the record book ( because there was a 10 car 1st lap melee.)
He might be a lot of things .... but call him a from the back to the front winner last night.
Personally .... I like the way he speaks and how he tells it like it is.
To bad our congressional politicians don't have some Rahmer balls and blood in 'em.

Congrats to Fred for his win at Williams Grove against the outlaws. But I have to agree with people about the 10 car pile up on the first lap. It's just like when someone wins at Talladega in Nascar when they have a huge crash and most of the fastest cars get taken out. It's a lot easier to pass cars when they are not on the track.
