Just heard from of a friend, of a friend, of a friend, that Ron Guinn is undergoing cancer therapy treatment somewhere in Florida. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his speedy recovery.
Possibly why we haven't seen the true "88" out this year.

It is true. Ronnie underwent surgery to remove cancer from his neck area in Florida. This procedure was done with in the first few weeks of the racing season. He went to a cancer center there to get a second opinion and they thought it was best for him to undergo surgery. The last I talked to Eddie which was a week or two ago was that the doctors gave Ronnie a 60% chance of beating it . If you know Ronnie he is stubborn enough to were he will beat it.
Eddie has set his priorities toward his dad and not to race in the meantime. Ronnie has family in the Tampa area which is where the center is. So he does have family around him for support. Although, I am sure he would love for a prayer to go up for him.

in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he
stands at times of challenge and controversy."
