I 44 will start running Friday nights as of May 14th. At least that is what was posted on Facebook

stands at times of challenge and controversy."

I'm out on whether I like this or not. I'd say I like it if their car count doesn't go down - but its not like they are gettin much anyways so.......
on the weekends where there is actually a quality show to go to on saturday it will be a good thing. But on weekends where its just weekly shows at area tracks......just means find something else to do on saturday instead of finding something else to do on friday
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a

It might take away a few cars, but I think it might bring in more too. There are some guys that run Port on Saturday and now they will run I-44 on Friday's also. I could be wrong, but I actually think there are some metro area teams that race in tulsa every weekend. There was a poll on MicroOutlaws if I-44 should switch to Friday's and it was 85% Yes and 15% No. I could be wrong, but I hope it brings in more cars for them.

Im a track offical out there. April and Kurt where working with port city, to help both tracks, cause some city teams cant make it to port city on friday night. So hopefully this will help both tracks bring us tulsa cars and some of our regulars who cant make to port city on a friday cause of work and whatever will be able to make it there now on saturdays. I personally like the idea cause being a worker, i have missed a few shows this year i might not have normally missed so now i can go watch the ascs shows i want.

I think its a great move. There is to many Saturday night tracks trying to get a good car count already. Sounds like it should work anyway.

I think Port and I-44 are going to be in big trouble after Tulsa Fairgrounds opens up the new micro track at Driller's Stadium. Port more than I-44 but the new track is going to be a big time racing facility from what I have heard.
