jason found out what a bad handling car feels like as we had him totally dialed out for hot laps. but we managed to get it together enough to qualify the wright one/valvoline #31 shark powered maxim around 16th (who's counting!).after finishing 5th in his heat and just missing the main, jason dodged his way to a transfer spot in the b-main to start in the back of the a-main. after passing half a dozen or so cars in the a-main jason got 'er a bit too sideways in turns 3 and 4 and spun for the first time ever in competition. after pushing off to rejoin the field jason noticed the shark running hotter than normal and not feeling quite right. just to be on the safe side he reluctantly pulled off to keep from doing possible harm to his only motor. jason felt that he had a car he could have moved up through the field with as he was getting the feel of things even as he made an uncharacteristic mistake leading to his spin. the investigation into the cause of the rise in engine temp has uncovered no major problems as of yet. a full series of tests will be run in the coming days to find a suspected water leak and make sure no damage was done. we are looking forward to the next 360 race on 4-27-07 at ocean. the turnout of sprints was great. the crowd could have been better but i think easter weekend had something to do with that. looking forward to a great season at ocean.

I think Jason is doing a fine job. He looks as though he is holding his own and is competetive. I was surprized to hear that this was his 2nd race in a sprinter. Best of luck, Jason.
