i also have one of ko's cars, it is the Montezuma's Revenge. They are designed by KO, but built in Tijuana Mexico. The Kamikazi is built in japan by Mr Mot.

Makes me so proud to be an American.

Wake up and smell the unemployment rate! Not to mention the fact that China has practically no environmental laws. Most of the pollution in CA is coming form China. I guess some people won't learn until their job gets shipped to China or India.

Somebody mentioned that the only NASCAR car built in America is Toyota. Built is the main word. All the money that is made on them goes back to Japan. In the times when thay first came, they saved big money on built in USA, something to do with tariff costs. There were small or no tariffs if it was built in the US.......

With all due respect to mofarmer, it appears MOST MANUFACTURERS are getting many of their parts from "outside" the U.S. Frown

Wonder what part the UAW played in this?

Try contacting Kevin. His main source of income is rebuilding light bulbs but he does take time out for racing related questions.

Are XXX cars "made" in China, or just the tubing? Are they not assembled/welded in Wash? To get chromoly tubing from Canada, Mexico, or the UE is becoming exceedingly difficult. China, not so much, and less expensive.

The American consumer can't be blamed for the outsourcing of jobs and subsequent job loss.

The only thing that could bring jobs back to the US would be a 300% import tax on any and all products brought in from other countries. Then use the tax revenue to fund unemployment or small business grants.

Regardless of what the customer demands the corporations are going to do whatever the hell they want. Don't even get me started on the "100,000 mile powertrain warranty" that Government Motors uses to sell their gas burning computers on wheels. The general public does not want 15 grand worth of un-needed sensors and brains on their vehicles but the car companies cram that stuff down our throats anyway then don't cover any of it in their warranties.

Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.

I don't know why anyone would think we will ever have "American made" everything ever again. Those days are over, times have changed, get on the boat or get left behind. Those same people are probably waiting on gas to go back to $.50 a gallon too.... When Maxim and J&J price their cars where XXX does, I will be more than happy to drive 1 state over and pick one up. But until then, I can buy a lot of tires for the price difference in cars. Times are tough and they aren't looking to get better, anywhere I can save a couple grand is just another couple nights I can take the car to the track and race it. I guess I could use that extra money to buy an American made computer like you all are using, where can I order it???

C'mon, just pick up that American made cell phone and ....oh, you say that your cell phone's NOT Anerican made?

Do a little research into the history of textiles. steel, or anything else that used to be a major US product....each industry followed cheaper labor costs to remain competitive in their respective industries. And while union labor had it's place and time, the unions and their labor costs drove a lot of companies and industries off shore in search of profits. And there were some bad management teams in place, too, but it's been a global economy for the past thirty or more years. America is not a production economy anymore - we've become a consumption economy......and have been for a long time....

Chuck.....

Thank the politicians! I, among others, assumed they had our backs??? Guess not. We've been watching this happening for many years.

Why do you think Toyotas are winning Nascar races? Their throttles are stuck wide open. wink

Now the Chinese have us by the balls including our nuclear secrets.

Most of the pollution in CA

Are you referring to Canada or California?

If it's California, you must mean Southern Calif. How do you substantiate most of the pollution is coming from China? They're an ocean away.

Its kinda ironic one mentioning pollution, as if auto racing is enviromentaly friendly? , ( I would assume there is much less harsh hobbies out there today) Im supporting earthday by pouring a quart of oil on the ground , isnt that where it came from? im just putting it back!
