This is heat 1, and there will be more coming. The buildup to the finale is what makes the whole story. Sheer sincere intesity-just to win one more at Ascot!

That was awesome... Deano is still my all-time favorite driver. I love seeing these races again. Only thing is that it was definitely from 1984, looking at the cars. Thanks again for you work!

that was awesome! I shed a tear there. I have the 1985 non wing challenge on video with the match races with Noffsinger, Sweeny Hewitt and Brent Keading. That was an awesome night of racing!

Ted Otto was a good announcer; however, for my money, there will never be anyone in the same category as Bruce Flanders. He was fantastic and made a Saturday night at Ascot all that much more enjoyable.

As for a favorite driver, Dean Thompson will always rank #1 with me. He was truly "Mr. Ascot" in my book. I'm sure that he took a lot of flack as a kid in school with his albino-like features and misformed arm and hand; however, when I strapped into the "little red sucker" he was in a different world and truly a fantastic driver.

Thanks, Brian. Ascot is the one place that was always as good as I remember it being. Watching Deano carve into someone's lead is priceless. He was all heart.
