It certainly is an improvement from this race last year when he slammed the turn one wall and wadded the car into a mangled collection of KPC tubing.

maybe everyone is wondering if the car is legal? We won't know until the 2nd week of August. If it was than kudos to Jason and crew that was one helleva charge.

Congratulations to Jason!! It would have been fun to watch him come from 18th.

I'm wondering when the last time a Winner of an Outlaw Race came from that far back in the field. I don't follow every race, but usually when I check the results the Winner usually started in the first 3 or 4 rows.

Wait a cotton pickin minute. You mean to tell me that somebody came from the 18th starting spot to win a WoO race. That is unheard of. Sounds like Goodyear tires have changed something because with the locked down Hoosiers you couldn't do that without a major wreck. Congrats to the entire 14 team who in my opinion are the some of the nicest guys in racing.

Couple of Cautions & the Double file restarts kept the field bunched up, winning anywhere from 18th don't happen often, good run Myers!

Another no passin' WoO show ......I mean Myers only passed 17 cars and they started around 24 or so ...it was a 'yawner' ..... right ??

Schatz restarted from the rear of the field at Volusia last year and passed 'em all...no better competition than Volusia on February...best of PA, Ohio, Knoxville, and a couple of them California gassers too!!

That was one hell of a race, might have been All Star sanctioned but they were all running that night I believe...

Not hardly, great night of racing. Meyers did one better than Jeff Swindell who started 17th and won in 1997 I think. In my opinion the modified help a lot with the track as they widened it out and put on some competitive races as well. LVMS and WOO should be proud as there was a full grandstand as well.

Where are all those people that bash the Outlaws for saying the winner always comes from the front row? Gonna blame it on the double file restarts now?

I am one of the posters that think the Outlaws put on a poor show for the ticket price. There are a handful of races over the course of the entire season where the winner does not come from the first couple rows. When that happens, this board always lights up with posts about how awesome Outlaw races are. If WoO races were like that a majority of the time, or even more than a couple times a year, I would agree with the gushing. Having seen the Outlaws race on about 25 different tracks over the years, however, I have seen enough WoO races to know that they put on a ton of parades for every entertaining show full of passing.

Well for the ticket prices at Las Vegas ($49.00 for both nigjts of the USAC and WOO show) I feel like I got a good value for some very good racing. Feel like I got a good bang for my buck ($24.50 a night) and I will go back next year. Although Tulare & Chico have higher ticket prices I feel they have good racing with passing as well. Can't speak for the rest of the stops.

That does sound like a nice deal. Glad you saw a good show. I was mostly talking about places where the going rate is $35 at the front gate and posters will rave about watching the guy on the pole lead every lap.

Your not very smart are you? All the WoO cars have to go through a certification process for every car they run. I was at volusia when they teched all the cars right in front of God and everyone else. If you are referring to the thickness of the chassis in certain spots, I can guarentee you have nothing to worry about. The 14 car is good to go, as I was in line right behind them when they checked it. This was done right in the middle of the pit-area right off of turns 1 and 2 with any/all to watch welcome. Get off this subject, as you are making yourself look stupid. The next Oultaw show you are at, look for the certification sticker on any car. It is on the rear or the halo hoop on the roll-cage of all cars.

The double file restarts absolutely and without a doubt enable cars to come from farther back. No intelligent person will deny that. It's a good rule for the fans.

I agree with you that it is a good rule for the fans. However starting 18th and even with double file restarts you still gotta drive your ass off to win from 18th!
