It really is amazing just how good Damion has been since he came back from that injury he had last August. It's like he's a totally new driver and has been really cool to see. Also congrats to our other Nor Cal native Brad Sweet for winning the midget race.

USAC will do another live webcast from Perris Auto Speedway on Saturday night. If it rains they will try again on Sunday night.

CWM....
The message that I got from Vinnie was that Vegas was all about the driver; my opinion is that Damion has been more successful with Vinnie than any other crew chief, be it NARC, GSC, Civil War, SCRA/CRA. I think that the chemistry that they have together is awesome, and that they mesh well together.......
Thanks for noticing my buddy, Vinnie. ![Smile](/images/Main/smile_100x100.gif)

As you no doubt know, Gardner won his fourth feature of the year at the PAS last night. He was the class of the 35 plus field of USAC sprint cars. Make that four out of five feature wins for the Demon this season. He is on a roll. Cold Sunday night at Perris (with a full moon) and the crowd was not the best for the rain postponed 2010 sprint car opener. Tony Jones took a bad barrel roll and walked away during the main event and a midget driver (Chris Ganson) was hurt in a wicked flip.
"Ralphie, Senor, muchas gracias por una mas cerveza" -

Chuck, no doubt they work well together and whether it's the driver or the wrench, I'm happy to see them off to this fantastic start. A couple if casual observations . 1 - everyone runs better when Vinnie is working on their car. 2 - I don't know if "coach" is the right word, but when they ran in nor cal it seemed Vinnie was also very good at preparing Damion mentally for the races. Whenever they were getting ready to push off he was always giving Damion pep talks.

Vinnie and I have discussed his affect on Damion several times in the past; whether it's Vinnie's role as driver coach, or crew chief, all I know right now is results! Good observations on your part
Vinnie told me tonight that the team is "living a dream" and that while they struggled early last night, they got the car right for the driver by the A main. .
Then it was all up to the driver.....
