"The Kruser" Has Sights Set On USAC Championship's

Ventura, CA – (February 22, 2010) - 2006 USAC/CRA Sprint Car champion, Cory Kruseman, is set to make his charge toward the 2010 USAC/CRA championship and the USAC Western States Midget championship, in his Kruseman Motorsports, Lucas Oil, No. 21K Sprint Car and Midget.

Kruseman is coming off of a stellar performance at the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals in his own car, where he won Friday's preliminary, and he then went on and finished eighth in Saturday's 50-lap finale.

"The Kruser" will kick-off his championship chase beginning this Thursday, February 25 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway's ½-mile clay oval and then the Kruseman Motorsports team will make the tow to the familiar confines of Perris Auto Speedway's ½-mile dirt oval, for the February 27 race.

"It was tough to skip Tucson, but we really need to keep a close eye on our expenses," said Kruseman. "With that being said, I can't wait to get to Las Vegas and then obviously Perris, where we've had success."

Kruseman's current plans are to chase and clinch both of the USAC/CRA Sprint Car and USAC Western States Midget championships, with veteran wrench and friend by his side, Mike Nigh. Kruseman drove to victory four-times in 2009, picking-up victories at Kings Speedway (West Coast 360s), Ventura Raceway (VRA), Ventura Raceway (USAC Western States Midgets), and a lone Perris Auto Speedway win on the 4^th of July (USAC/CRA).

"The last few years, I've focused on our driving school, but I'm ready to go at it again," said Kruseman. "Our performance at the Chili Bowl did get me fired up again! I'm real fortunate to have some of the best sponsors that a team could ask for, and if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be able to do what we do."

While Kruseman did not compete in all of the scheduled USAC/CRA events in the 2009 season, the veteran gasser still managed to crack the Top-10 in the final USAC/CRA point standings with his ninth place finish.

"This year our focus will be on winning the USAC/CRA and Western States Midget championships. I'm not sure if anybody has done that yet or not, but we're sure going to give it a try!" Kruseman concluded.
