I just thought this was worth a new topic... even tho' it has been covered.

SPEED)SPEED's 2-hour broadcast of the 24th Chili Bowl Midget Nationals has been rescheduled for Sunday, February 14 at 3pm ET. (2 Central, Noon Pacific?? - check local listings) Originally set to air Saturday night at 9pm ET, the change was necessary because Friday's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race was postponed because of rain and rescheduled for Saturday night live on SPEED.Press Releases 2/12

This is BS. The Truck race is scheduled to start at 5:30 Central and the Chili Bowl was set for 8:00. IF the Truck race ran long Speed could have delayed the Chili Bowl, and shown the whole 2 hours by cutting into whatever garbage programming they had scheduled afterwards.

As far as checking local listings, HOW? Changing it this late wouldn't make it appear in the newspapers or probably not even on my cable box.

I want to see the Daytona 500, so I guess I'll have to tape the Chili Bowl and zap through the sponsors precious commercials, instead of watching it right off of the air like I was going to do tonight.

Hopefully they will re-air the show later in a prime time slot with adequate promotion. If not there will be a LOT of casual race fans that will never see this year's Chili Bowl. Hell - even tomorrow night after Wind Tunnel would work better - bumping Pinks and Dangerous Drives <--- who gives a rat's ass about that crap. I see they are replacing Lucas Off Road programming with the Bowl tomorrow - guess they are going for pre-paid slots from Lucas Oil.

And of course the programming change is not yet showing in my Dish Network guide and it is updated every night/morning at 3am.
