Don't think that this is top secret as I was told by the new driver, Cody Kershaw, that he will be competiting this year in the Glen Crossno, ITI Performance sprint car. Mentioned during the USAC National race in Florida while on Facebook. He mentioned Las Vegas in a couple weeks. Hope everything works out ok for both the new driver and David Cardey.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DAVID CARDEY TO RACE OWN CAR AT THE PAS – LOOKING FOR OUT OF TOWN RIDE!
(FEBRUARY 2, 2010, RIVERSIDE, CA) Riverside, California's David Cardey, 2nd place finisher in the 2009 USAC/CRA Championship point standings, announced on Monday that he will be fielding a car for himself to race in the series at Perris Auto Speedway in 2010 and that he is looking for a ride for out of town races. The popular series kicks off its 2010 campaign on February 19th and 20th at USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona before moving onto the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Dirt Track on February 25th and then Cardey's home track at Perris on February 27th.
Cardey, 34, is parting company with the iTi Performance team and car owner Glenn Crossno after three seasons. "They are going to a driver development program for the 2010 season," Cardey said. "I want to thank Glenn and everyone at iTi for giving me the opportunity to drive their equipment. It is always top notch stuff and they are a top notch team. I certainly respect their decision to move on and wish them the very best in their future racing endeavors."
While Cardey is moving on to run his own equipment, it will still be familiar stuff for him. He will again pilot a 5-Bar iTi Performance chassis and will run as the #59.
Cardey, who had shoulder surgery in December to repair a racing injury, would like to run the full schedule and take another shot at the USAC/CRA crown. He hopes he can find a ride for out of town events (or the full schedule if such a ride is available). "We want to run for the title, but financially we can only afford to run our own team for the hometown races at Perris," he said with a shrug. "Hopefully, I can find something to drive out of town or we can secure enough sponsorship to take our own show on the road. I can tell you this, if we cannot run for the championship points and only run Perris, we will be focused on one thing only every night. That will be to win the main event."
As always, David Cardey would like to thank all of his sponsors: iTi Performance Motorsports, Franklin Rear Ends, Empire Plumbing, Racer's Pub, DWT Wheels, Circle Track Racing, Defender Products, Powell Pipe & Supply, Hoosier Tires, K&N Filters, 5-Star Gas & Gear and Scott Daloisio Sports. To add your company to the sponsor list of David Cardey Racing's winning team for the 2010 campaign, please use the contact information at the start or end of this release.

As you no doubt know, Cardey drove the #38 the last couple years. Clayton drove a couple of times for the Crossno team (once in Calistoga) but not sure it was the #38. His other sprint car has been run as the #83 and I believe that is the car or # that Clayton campaigned. Davey Pombo is another driver that has run for Crossno a few year's back. Scotty Wier (sp?) was another talented driver that drove for the race team.

Didn't Lil Shu try running a Crossno car at the PAS not to long ago and the car would not run?

Yes Casey did run the Crossno car .Not sure what nuber it was ,I think Casey got upside down in qualifying and then had troubles after that with the car running . I could be wrong .
Trip put the beer down and step away from the bar !! your getting defensive again . I think Ascot was only askin a question .

Ok I was answering Ascot's question about the car that Casey drove . Like I said he got upside down in qualifying and then I think that they had motor problems after that due to the car getting upside down . I know Mr. Crossno pretty well and the Kershaw kid will have some of the best stuff out there . I was not directing any kind of negativity towards the Crossno team or its equipment was just answering a question. As far as the beer thing and step away from the bar was just trying to be funny .

Thanks Joe, I thought that Ascot could have gone a little further in asking his question - hopefully he wasn't slamming the Crossno team. I too hope that young Kershaw does well for one of the better car owners in USAC/CRA. I knew that you weren't slamming anyone. Peace.
