Take an on-line trip to Paso Robles, California and visit this museum.... www.ewarbirds.com click on Woodland Auto Collection and view each car listed on the left side of the page. This is a fabulous air and auto museum that is a "must see" if you ever visit the central California coastal area. Two recent additions to this collection are the #3 Al Pombo car and also the #54 Super Modified built and driven by Don Edmunds. This is the car that Billy Wilkerson was restoring (with help of Bob Feltham) and it was finished by Buzz Shoemaker. You can see photos of the car when it was photographed by Hot Rod Magazine in l966 (on the cover) by going to www.donedmunds.com click on Full Size Cars, then click on Super Modifieds. The car looks exactly the same today (except for the yellow headers) as the original body and paint were in great condition....right down to the lettering and decals. Hope you enjoy the show of midgets, sprints, indy car, nascar cars, and all of the other cars in this very special museum..... If you click on the 1962 Sprint Car on this website you will see the famous Duncan Chevy driven by Billy Wilkerson for many years....but on November 14, 1970 this car was driven to victory in a 100 Lap Race at Ascot Park, by Joe Saldana.....Billy was on his way to winning his 2nd CRA Championship in the #6 Don Peabody car in that same race.....one other car in the museum is the #11 Wilkerson Car that sat on the pole at the Mopar Million driven by Brad Noffsinger........thanks for "visiting" the museum..............Anne Wilkerson

The direct link to the woodland collection of race cars is here:

http://www.ewarbirds.org/automotive/woodland.html

Just a note, this collection if approximately 1 hour north of the Santa Maria Speedway for anyone who happens to be out this way you should consider a trip to both.
