Would be cool if someone who drove them all could tell the difference.

Thay all are good the reason why we buy one over the other is this. MAXIM are the eazys to get hear in PA. If you have low buget you only need to buy one if you bend it up you can go to zemco and thay usaly have one thare.
EAGLES are the hardest to get if you are going to race every week you need to order 2 or 3 over the winter and have one on hand if you crash. This ties up cash that could be used for tires or bars or engine parts.
J&JS have some of the nices looking welds. I have 3 J&JS some times you can get them a ponchows but if you need one quick you might have to wate.

i have had a 03 eagle 87 40 wide body, and 04 eagle 86 40 normal, and a 01 eagle 86 40 wide body. I really like both wide body cars. Why I can really tell you but it seems when i had either of them i was quick. All 3 cars ended up totalled beyond repairs. the 01 got wrapped around a tree after i bounced over the wall i walked away. the 04 went thru a stone wall and ended up with a torn ligment in my c1 vertbrate. The 03 hit a a tractor after i got rear ended and flipped numerous time. I walked away very sore. Feel free to email me and i can send you pics of all the cars.
The game plane for this year is to get another eagle. I really like the eagle frame. Might get a spair jei to try to. I have seen the jei do dang good lately.

Schnee works for us, again, maybe because the avalibility of switching to a (better condition chassis) was most effective. I think all brands are pretty close, major differances seem to be in suspension configurations not brands, Avendger comes to mind of compairing apples to oranges , seems everything has just a tish diffeance with thier cars , but, still look like they work for thier drivers, Wolfs cars have some pretty different tubing style but,(uprights are unique) again seem to work rather well for some guys, Ill be watching Robbie's performance this year at Knox, should be fun. were going to try a JNJ (test the waters) and proubly go back to what we know, if things go bad? ..maybe theyll be the same?, kinda interested.

J&J's tend to be the most consistant from chassis to chassis. you could have a car built in 05 and upgrade to a 2010 and the setups will be pretty close plus you will be able to bolt your seat in without drilling new holes. when it comes to maxim the setups are close but sometimes you get one that just doesnt work. if youre gonna buy a used car jnj will be more consistant. generally people dont let go of GOOD maxims.

For whatever reason, Drivers/owners tend to use Eagles in the 360 ranks but you don't see too many anymore in the 410's. Maybe with the new ownership change you will see more this season. I love when there is a mix of different chassis in a starting line up other than Maxims and J&J's. Glad to see JEI get a win in Florida with the DUDE. Hopefully Wolfweld makes a comeback in the 410's at Knoxville. Mark Smith is making some in roads in Pa with his Mach 1 chassis.

"J&JS have some of the nices looking welds"
Are you serious? You must not know a GOOD weld! J&J and Maxim have some of the worst welds ever. Of the frames I have seen, and I've seen pretty much all of them, JEI is the best with Schnee second.
"Mark Smith is making some in roads in Pa with his Mach 1 chassis."
What? Mark has NO chassis being raced on the road. The majority of his chassis are raced in PA.
"Maybe with the new ownership change you will see more this season"
Eagle? It hasn't changed ownership. A partner came in to bail Eagle out of the financial problems they had. They changed the name.

Id have to agree about the welds, I own both a JnJ and a Schnee, Brian Schnee's welds look better (he's a pretty good craftsman) ,IMO , just a observation,
the weld can still look good but the amount of fill ,penetration, and heat will effect the strength of a weld , poor quality/dirty metals, filler, too much or not enuff heat ,ect ,ect can and will certainly effect a good weld .probably something most serious racers already know. although Ive also heard the method of notching of tubing can effect the weld ? I'm not too educated about that ? anyone care to explain? I would have to believe the popular chassis builders, regardless, have put their product to the test, but, some welds look better than others and theres many ways/area's to critique a weld.

Re Read my statements. No where did I say Mark Smith has cars ON THE ROAD, I did say he is making IN ROADS with more drivers/owners using his chassis in Pa. for 2010.
If Russell now has a PARTNER, that to me is an ownership change. With an influx of cash, the Eagle Chassis company has more cash to beef up marketing, increase production, get on the road more to help their drivers, etc.

Sorry, your post made it sound like he had chassis being ran out on the road.
I'm sorry, but bringing a partner in to help you from filing bankruptcy is not changing ownership. Changing ownership means you sell out completely and either are an employee only or you are no longer with the company at all.

Fair enough about Eagle. At one time they were one of the BIG THREE manufacturers along with J&J and Maxim. I guess if they don't start selling more cars soon, they will go by the wayside as Gambler did. Chuck Merrill has had a nice 20 year run at the top.

I'll put Jerry Russell's ability to build the best of sprint car chassis up against any body in the country. Jerry has more working knowledge of sprint cars than anybody else in the business today.
Jerry got the screws put to him and his company by a couple of people that he thought was like family to him. He has worked really hard to keep the company going he still has one of the best looking frames that are racing today. He will make a come back.

It looks like. Mr Mann has sold Eagle to Speedway Motors. They will do better as a parts supplier. The just isn't enought chassis sales to support all the builders.
I feel bad for all the employ's that work there with family to just get this dropped on you with out any notice.
