Looks like tonights (Tuesday) race has fallen victim to thunderstorms.
BARBERVILLE, FL -- Feb. 2, 2010 -- The opening night of racing at the 39th Annual Florida DIRTcar Nationals By University of Northwestern Ohio was canceled by rain on Tuesday at Volusia Speedway Park.
The forecast is bright for Wednesday, when the All Star Circuit of Champions 410 Sprint Car Series and the DIRTcar Racing UMP Modifieds will get the two-week event started. Pit gates will open at noon with grandstands opening at 5 p.m.

Yea really. Is dirt in Florida different that it can't be prepared in the 6 hours between the last drop of rain and hot laps? Posse fans would be rioting if the Grove or Lincoln canceled that quick...

I've been to Florida several times and I do think Florida dirt is pretty much different then anywhere I've been. They have high water tables, you can damn near kick a hole in the ground there and plant a tree. Anyhow… here's a quick 5 day weather outlook.
