I took this shot at the April 18th 1982 WoO show at Sunset Speedway just outside Omaha, Ne.
I decided I wanted to shoot a few shots from the outside as they came through 3 and 4 in hot laps... it was a big mistake.
Shane was the first car that came by at full speed and I got hit by enough dry clumps of clay that I learned to shoot fast as they came through 3 and then hurry and turn my back before they pelted me again and again coming out of 4. Needless to say, I was out there for just a single flight of hot laps!

what a great shot!! remember when the cushion was like that at most tracks.keep the great pics coming.
