For those interested in Sprint Car history, check out the just released "History of San Jose Auto Racing 1903-2007. It covers the history of Sprint Car (Big Car) , Super Modified, Roadster, Midget, etc. racing in San Jose, complete with standings, race winners, and track records. San Jose was always a hotbed of open wheel racing and it is all covered in this 288 page coffee table book. The highlight is the 725 photos, 280 in color. Thanks for the kind words Mike. I assume SVMike stands for Silicon Valley Mike. If you live in the San Jose area, feel free to drop by and bench race while picking up a copy.

I want mine autographed :-). I'm sure this will be an education for everybody but definitely something that will help with my knowledge of history which can never be enough since I didn't come along until 1981. I'm getting up there but I'm not real old like Carwash :-).....Thank you Dennis for all you have done over the years. You are a true professional and one of the biggest assets racing in Santa Clara County has remaining.

Wow, San Jose and the East Coast of Australia are joined at the hip, we learned about supers from you guys (and ended up with quite a few down here) Larry Burton, Mike Andretta, Gary Patterson... the list goes on, and you're late model guys like Gene Welsh dragged us from shit boxes to hot V8 late models in the seventies too... I'd love a copy of the book too.
