Welcome to the Jungle...pretty much goes without saying that is THE anthem. But I vote for Bon Jovi's One Wild Night. =)

Pink Floyd's "One of These Days," is a great choice. I would also have to include:

Saliva; Click Click Boom & Ladies and Gentlemen.
Butthole Surfers; They came in.
Cake; The Distance.
Rush; Tom Sawyer.

Upside down, boy you turn me

Inside out, and round and round

Sorry, I know it's a corny one, but the words fit.

i have a few that remind me of the guys on the road.

bon jovi, wanted, dead or alive;

"i'm a cowboy, on a steel horse i ride. i'm wanted, dead or alive."

bob seger, turn the page;

But your thoughts will soon be wandering
The way they always do
When you're ridin' sixteen hours
And there's nothin' much to do
And you don't feel much like ridin',
You just wish the trip was through

jackson brown, the load out;

when that morn'in sun comes beat'in down you're gonna wake up in you're town,

but we'll be scheduled to appear, a thousand miles away from here.

those are good but if you will indulge me a bit, i have another that i wrote my self back in the day. since my buddy mike sargent is being honored into the mspa HOF it seems fitting to me to drag this thing out that i wrote back when we were tearing up california. lol.

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN

Well the stands they're all empty,

we're work'in on our car.

Didn't get much sleep last night,

Had to tow pretty far.

Now the people start to come,

and the crowd begins to grow.

For us it's a business,

But for them it's just a show.

They don't see the hours worked,

They don't see the money spent.

They don't have to pay the bills,

Or fix the cars when they get bent.

I guess all they really want,

is to drink they're ice cold beer.

They'll argue and they'll fight,

And then they'll stand up and they'll cheer.

And tho' they don't seem to see beyond

The excitement and the speed,

I guess it all works out,

'cause we both get what we need.

So come on out and see us sometime,

We put on quite a show.

We'll shake your hand and share our beer,

'cause our cooler is never low.

Then we'll load it on the trailer,

'cause it's time for us to go.

There's always one more race to run,

One more track we haven't tried.

There's always one more fan,

To keep satisfied.

Just when you wonder if the life you lead

Is any better than the rest.

Some kid hunt'in autographs,

Smiles and says thanks, you're the best.

Well I've burned my hands,

And I've slept in trucks.

I've lived for a week on twenty bucks.

I've worn faded jeans,

And old tennis shoes.

Stay'in up for days,

Well that's nothin' new.

So come on out and bring a friend,

'cause you know we're gonna try to win.

And if we're run'in good,

you'll come shake our hand.

Then you'll know why we say,

Catch me if you can.

Well the stands they're all empty,

we're work'in on our car.

to indy and beyond!!

Thin Lizzy's "The Boys Are Back In Town"

AC-DC's "Hell's Bells" and

that song ?? the NHRA used every Sunday nite on ESPN during 2008 season????, then NAPSCAR started using it, Johnny used it at some shows last year.

Always liked Rush's "Tom Sawyer" too.

Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.

Texas in 1880. I always wanted to rewrite it and name it "AJ in 1960"- here goes

Well I can hear the wind whisper my name,

tellin' me it's time to head out again,

the trailers all loaded,

the lights are shut down,

I'm headed out now for Tulsa town.

Got a fever today called the Chili Bowl,

with just enough money to make the next show,

sometimes you get glory,

sometimes you get dirt,

go on and try another gear and see if it works!

And I'll ride that race car fast

like a shotgun from the past

be young and wild and free

like AJ in 1960

Ahhh from LA out to San Antone,

Indiana to Kemper Dome,

there's boys a ridin' for legendary fame,

and our moneys all gone,

but we ride just the same.

Our hearts will get broken,

our heads will get busted,

but we'll always believe in the things that we trusted.

There'll be those nights when we make the last round

and we'll light up the switch

and wave to the crowd

And ride that race car fast

like a shotgun from the past

be young and wild and free

like Kinser in 1980

bridge

Someday someones gonna see that Golden Driller on yer shelf,

and ask you how it felt-

To ride that race car fast

like a shotgun from the past

be young and wild and free

Like AJ in 1960!!

A fellow Hammerhead??

PT and Carmine Appice did an album together a few years ago, "it takes alot of balls" . One of the songs "Rock Me" I always felt would make a great 4 wide tune.

They play it at Perris once in awhile (although not during the 4wide)

I still like the classic opening song for the main event "The Final Countdown" by Europe!

I also think tracks should play "Another one bites the dust" by Queen for a non injury crash!

Ok now I am ready to go to a race! Guess I'll have to wait a few months...

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

racecars on dirt!
