This is only $10 savings per day vs. the WoO published prices (as of last week, when it was still a WoO show).
There goes the agrument for the WoO races have too high ticket prices. $30 is pretty high for a $4,000 to win "locals" show on Friday night (MGC). The tickets are usually $18 range for a $3,000 to win GSC show during the year.

Agreed - $35 is steep for a non-Outlaw show.

Has this been confirmed? Seems like a practical joke to me. I have never heard of a $30 ticket for a $4,000 to win race, ever. Maybe the payout is $3,999 for 2nd $3,998 for 3rd etc., etc.

Where are you guys seeing these ticket prices? This is all I could find..."The season starts on March 12 and 13 with the annual Mini Gold Cup. This race will feature 410-winged sprint cars. A hefty $50,000 total purse over the two nights of racing solidify this event as one of the biggest 410-races in California. Friday night main event's winner will receive $4,000 while Saturday night's winner will receive $8,000. This year's version of the Mini Gold Cup will be unsanctioned, technically making it an open show for 410 winged sprints. The rules and specifications for this weekend will follow the guidelines of the King of California Golden State Series."

That was my point, I wanted to know if this was confirmed or speculation. Just so everyone knows I am 100% supportive of our local racing and support the race tracks as much as I possibly can. I just dont know about a $30 ticket for 4 grand to win though, seems a bit thin for the winners share. However if the purse is spread back throughout nicely than I am all for it. You dont see that often though generally in California the purse takes a nosedive once you get past 1st and 2nd place. I hope this works out for Chico and they are able to fill the stands, the Mini is a blast with the fast cowboy up track conditions that time of year.

I called the business office this morning and that is what she said , I thought the prices were a bit high I even argued with her for a few moments going back and forth with this isnt an outlaw race so why are the prices still high....I got no where with her...prices suck...but it's racing!

If you go to the website it lists Mini Gold Cup as $25 for Friday & $30 for Saturday. It's gonna be a great weekend. Looking forward to it.

Taking a step back is always exciting.... Next year bet the Outlaws wont even bother with coming to Cali in the begining of the year... Thank you so Much!

Who cares about the WoO. I'd rather see a GSC or USAC/CRA race.

Who cares about the Outlaws, really! Other than the 4th of July show in Chico, the Outlaws are the only ones to sell out the place... With that mentality, you must be on the pourch....

handy pro. is crazy charging that much for a locals show cause that's what it will be!! no outlaws no t-dub and no tk.... who is gonna be there... maybe five top drivers if lucky and the rest the gsc series regulars... wait till after the mini and see the same drivers every week for half the price!! even if the outlaws are doin some crappy things they are still the best hands down and the best show on dirt!!!!

I respect your opinion. But I think if they took off them funny wing things, there would be more passing and more exciting racing.
sideways- 'pourch' is what you are after many beers in front of the house.
