People come to America for all kind of reasons. Most of time they bring there language and there flag with. They also refuse to speak english and wave there country flag all over the United states. Well i move to America years ago and left my country flag at home and brought my American flag instead. With sprint cars become a big entertaining sport in South Africa, I'm proude to say. The American flag wave just as much in the grand stands in S.A. And the American flag is painted on most of the cars. South African people LOVE America and there people.
GOD BLESS AMERICA, "The African American"......Leon.

Goodyears on the back. I just read a week or so ago on Sprintcar World about the popularity of sprint car racing in South Africa. Without Googling it, can you give us a short summary on the size of tracks, number of cars that might show up for a sprint car race, etc., and I assume these are dirt tracks.
Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.

On more than one occasion I'd met some South African guy' at Manzy who not only liked Sprint cars, but raced them as well. This was during the late eighties when apartheid was still in effect, and so was the trade embargo against South Africa. Their big problem at that time was getting a V8 engine of any kind in South Africa, not alone a Goodyear tire. Any big V8 was cherished, even a Ford..LOL.. As you might imagine, and from what they told me, these cars were built in their own shops and they had to be very creative to keep the sport they obviously loved alive.

Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Thanks for your interest. Most of the tracks are pavement. I ship some of the cars over there. All the race cars are from America. Chevy and mopar.410 & 360. Yes they do a lot of Good Year, They are cheaper to buy over there and last little longer.

Sprint cars actually have a very small footprint in South Africa, with around 17 active cars nationally and one series (The Ultimates). Winged 360s on asphalt, there are no clay tracks in SA.

Just to refresh your mind. Most ultimates run 410 motors now. Reason i know they buy the parts from me here in the U.S. There is more than one Sprint car organizations in South A. This is the last 410 i send to Freddie Mocke in S.A. (Mopar 410)
