Tonight marks the start of the battle for the 2007 Silver Dollar Speedway track championship. Divisions on the card include the 410 winged sprints, wingless spec sprints and dirt modifieds.
The 410 main event will be 25 laps and will have a $2,000 payday. In fact all the Friday night 410 point races at Silver Dollar this season will pay $2,000, as each night is sponsored by an indivdual business. This is something JPM and the staff came up with last year and it worked out really well. Glad to see that pretty much every Friday night point race has been taken up by a sponsor. Tonight's race is sponsored by Circle Racing Wheels.
Some of the drivers expected to be on hand include defending track champ Andy Forsberg, defending King of California Jonathan Allard, '04 King of California Jason Statler, '05 King of California and current GSC point leader Sean Becker, former track champ Stephen Allard, defending Silver Dollar Speedway co-rookie of the year Brett Miller, winner of last week's GSC main at Placerville Brandon Wimmer, former track champ Johnny Gray and many more.
Gates open at 6 pm and tickets are just $10. For more info on tonight's race visit www.johnpadjenmotorsports.com and to read the preview from Troy Hennig visit http://www.johnpadjenmotorsports.com/silverDollar/2007/news/03/25.html
