Looking for info on RV parking at Las Vegas dirt track and Perris for the upcoming USAC show in Feb? Is drycamping allowed at these facilities? I'm already too late for the Sept Calistoga deal.

Here's the Las Vegas website - it lists some very expensive campsites. but I assume that's associated with the NASCAR races....I'd call the track for more information

Nothing on the Perris website that I can find, but some friends of mine have dry camped there for the Oval Nationals for the past several years. But, again, I think a phone call would help determine availability.

The Sept. Calistoga deal is available to last year's campers first, but if they don't reserve their spots by January 15th, then the fairgrounds will call people who have been put on the waiting list. I'm not sure how many people are on that list, but it might be worth a phone call to the fairgrounds at (707) 942-5111.

dustyteeth,
Lake Perris Fairgrounds (951) 657-4221 operates all parking and RV camping which Perris Auto Speedway is located.
They only allow RV camping on certain week-ends. Basically three day week-ends, holidays week-ends and the Oval Nationals. If Perris Auto Speedway had their way, they would allow camping EVERY week-end. Lake Perris Fairgrounds charges $25.00 per night for dry camping in the grass (usually dead) area next to the regular parking lot which is just off of turn 4. They have no specific sites but have some electricity, water spickets at some places and there is a dump station in front of the BMX track.
They probably won't allow camping for the February race. BUT, if you park your RV in the BACK of the track, Gate "A" entrance by the Motorcycle track and where the sprint cars go in to get to the infield you can camp for free. It's just a dirt area and they have a few places to hook up to electric but no water and the dump station is out front.
I camp there every 410 car race. Get there on a Friday, leave on Sunday. Don Kazarian usually comes by to say hello.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more info.

Many thnx to all who replied. Lew's report on Perris answered everything and I wasn't aware of the Jan 15 date for Calistoga. Looks like a heavy travel year with the excellent schedule at Tulare.
