Jonahan Allard took out tonights International Sprint Car Feature to make it 2 feature wins from 2 starts. Allard prevailed in one of the best Sprint Car Features we have seen in recent years at the Springs. He had to work hard for his money with four drivers going hammer and tong from the drop of the green. Ricky Logan dominated the early proceedings before locals Dean Brindle and Ryan O'Conner got by. Logan and Allard banged wheels and traded passes before Logan cut a left rear, ending his race, and Allard was lucky to survive hitting the pit straight wall in their exchanges. Allard then ran down Brindle and then O'Conner to take the lead with a handful of laps to go taking out a popular win. Sammy Swindell was holding down 5th place before retiring at about half ditance after cutting down a left front off the start.

The World 30 Lap Midget Derby was won by Michael Pickens with Jerry Coons Junior 2nd and Shaun Insley 3rd. Coons and Brad Mosen were equal top qualifyiers with Coons taking the early lead before Mosen dominated the middle part of the race and looked comfortable for a certain win before he had something in the rear end let go with 3 laps to run. Pickens and Coons had been neck and neck for a majority of the race with Pickens inheiriting the lead with Mosens demise and being able to hold off Coons to the chequered flag. The rest of the US team did not fair very well as Scott Hatton finished mid pack after having to come out of the B main and Tony Elliot and Kevin Swindell both crashed out heavily fairly early on.
