Two-time King of California Jonathan Allard was able to get by three-time World of Outlaw champion Sammy Swindell in traffic and then hold him off after a pair of cautions to claim victory during the main event at the Western Springs Speedway in New Zealand on December 26. The event was the opening round of the Internation Sprint Cars. The next scheduled event at Springs will be Wednesday December 30.

Way to go, Jonathan!
BK, Bud and Jesse are racing at Brisbane International Speedway in Oz. Their first race was scheduled for Sat., 12/26 but got postponed to Mon,, 12/28 due to rain. Check the story at Sprint Car World Aus:
The complete program as advertised, featuring Americans Brent Kaeding, Bud Kaeding and Jesse Hockett, will go ahead on Monday evening with the main program starting at 6:00pm. http://www.brisbanespeedway.com.au/release.asp?NewsId=34042 With the time difference that will be late tonight (Sunday).
In other news on American drivers activities down under, Donny Schatz won at Parramatta City Raceway on Sunday (Tim Shaffer, 3rd and Tony Stewart, 10th), and Jason Johnson won at Murray Bridge Speedway, also on Sunday. Congrats to those racers. All this is posted on the Sprint Car World site. Schatz, Shaffer and Stewart will be at it again at PCR on Tues,, 12/29.
