The guy made sure to save his beer didn't he?

I remember back in the mid - 90's during one of the first nights of probably the WoO Devils Bowl Winter Nationals when Jeff Swindell in the #7tw Gold Eagle sprinter flipped coming out of turn four, and landed on the first two or three rows of the grandstands. Luckily there wasn't the crowd there usually is on the final night or somebody I am sure would've got hurt.

wow thats crazy.

Although - if anyone thinks thats bad - go to Dutton Speedway in Ft. Cobb - of every track i have ever been to - it's the one best (more like worst) suited for somethin like that to happen. the front stretch fence might as well not even be there it's so small (short).

The chili bowl freaks me out a bit too - especially after McCreadie's flip last year. It makes it even worse because the place is so packed that if a car or a piece of it ever came up into the stands......everyone is so jammed in there's nuthin anyone could do.

sure makes one appreciate SFS and Knoxville........wink

other tracks could have freak occurences - take Lawton for example - I have yet to see a car or a piece of a car come over the fence, but I'll be damned if a firework didn't aim straight for us and miss by just a few feet lol. Turns out wescoe was just a feet over too- i think that whole section was scared shitless. i know we were lol.

Your right about Fort Cobb and it's out in the middle of a field. Talking about Hillbilly racing!

Wow.....pretty scary. I remember when James Beane did almost the same trick on the front straight just past the Flag Stand at Fairgrounds Speedway, only the catch fence caught him. James to this day still owes me a beer after mine was emptied from jumping and running, and while we are at it there is also a Dry Cleaning / Laundry bill that needs to be addressed.
