I was informed today that the old promoters of Enid are going to place a order for the top 10 trophies in each class in about a week or so. Not so lucky on the jackets but it looks like you guys will be getting your trophies. If I hear anything when they are ready I will post and let you guys know or they might give you all a call. Another reason to be thankfully. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

You do a good job Jimmy.... At least a trophy is better than nothing. Some will gripe and some will be thankful Happy Holidays.

And good luck to you and your kids in the family racing next year.

Thanks, but I have to give this one to Lonnie and Longpine. They made a great choice on giving the drivers there trophies. And thanks for the luck with the kids racing next year, it will be a learning experience for sure but they will have a blast. Wish you the best of luck next season also.

Its good to know that they are ordering trophies....

it seems weird to me that they hadnt already done this, remember, they cancelled the banquet because of the hoover building being rented out from under them.... Well, at least the drivers will get something

Well since trophies are that expensive they dont have to get me one that way the champions that deserve one can get one.I know its hard times and Longpine probably cant afford them so i thought maybe this would help.

I could be wrong but I don't thank it takes a month to get them made. Sounds like it might of been a front to keep everyone off them for awhile. JMO! Alot of the drivers had there own made.

we all should have known it was just more bullshit....

i seen lonnie at golden corral and he told me that they wanted 100,000 for thier equipment at the track.

i think whomever gets the track should tell them to get lost and get either p&k, caterpillar, or anyone and let them sponsor with equipment.

When I talked to Steve last week he said nothing has been done at that time. It still would have to be put in the newspaper that it is open for bids. Taking a little to long I thank.

Im sure they want it leased out so they can get their money.

I was told of two bids that will be coming in but will leave it there.

Brill is out of it and Miller said if he gets it the rules will be left the same for the 2010 season 'I really thank he would do a good job' if he would fix the rules. If thats the case and I hope its not he wont have the car count with the rules the way they are now in Enid. But I guess it don't matter to me because it's time for me to move on with my kids racing and give my stress level a rest. I have been asked by a possible promoter If I was interested in being the flagman but had to decline because its my kids time to have fun giving it a try. I sure miss racing myself and wont ever be able to do it again but I have the chance to be there for them and watch them grow up having fun.

I was wondering about the trophies because there was posts on here that they were ordered so i figured they should be done by now unless it was a bunch of bullshit!

Im quite sure it was bullshit....

Here is my reasoning on that statement

If you have a scheduled banquet then you get your trophies made ahead of time so you will have them at said banquet. So they should have still had the trophies even if the hoover building got rented out from under them. It was stated that trophies were ordered, after the fact but still noone has gotten them

Therefore, the only conclusion can be BULLSHIT!!!!!

goodluck to whomever gets the track, they will have a ton of mending to do with the fans, racers, and owners. i think the last promoters forgot that you cant treat your partners(fans, owners, drivers, and pitmen) like shit and be successful
