Cedar Lake Speedway schedule is out. Looks like a good summer for sprints & late model fans. DTRA picked up Fox Ridge and it looks like there will be an end of the season bonus weekend for late fans.

I just checked the website yesterday. It shows Dale Earnhardt, Jr is coming on 7/12 (a Thursday). It also says he's bringing a few of his friends along. Should be a fun night.

We'll boy's, just a week and a half to go. Then it's back to good friends, fun food & going to bed quit happy, covered with clay. Nothing better than a Saturday night on the back stretch sitting low & center in lawn chairs.

I took a few pictures at the Cedar Lake banquet on Saturday night up at Grand Casino Hinckley. They're in my photo gallery, click on the gotomn.com link, you know the the routine wink

There's one thing better that going home and going to bed. Camping out at the track, sitting around a fire drinking a few cold ones with racing friends. Seeing who the first one to "crash and burn" in their lawn chair will be. Lately it's usually been me... frown

Perhaps I'll crash your campfire for a couple cold ones this summer, on my way home, of course.

Stan, nice banquet pics. Who's the gentleman in pic 30? Is that Tommy to the left in the final group of shots?

That's Tommy on the left in the bibs next to Egersdorf. The photos are in the order that I took them. I believe it was Streets, B Mods, Supers, Mods and Lates. Starting from the beginning of the album it was the Cedar Lake awards in that order and the second go round where Tommy was in the Late Model group was the DTRA awards.

Hell, Stan, you usually outlast Les or is it that he just drinks faster than the OLD MAN?

You camping at CLS for the openner?

No, I'm not going to any openers this year and won't start my season until the end of April. All of my racing will consist of Sprint Car races at Cedar, Kopellah, North Central, Arlington, Rice Lake, Red Cedar and possibly a few others as well as the entire schedule of races at Owatonna. That will be enough for me and will amount to a pretty full season. I'll probably go to the Firecracker at Cedar and stay over for the Outlaws. Maybe Dale Earnhardt Jr. night as well so I'll see a couple of nights of their regular classes but not many. I'm going to go to all the Sprint races I can and if there's any money left over and I've got a free Saturday night maybe I'll run out there for a weekly show.

I'm gonna' do what I like and somebody else can worry about the rest of it. It don't matter anyways, that fendered crowd don't care for me. They gang up on me and tear me a new *sshole everytime I say anything on 20/20. Smile
