I think the same thing every year... I actually did a VERY conservative estimate of the money coming in and going out at the Ovals last year and it seemed to really ruffle some feathers around the PAS and USAC... I even had a PAS employee threaten to "kick my ass" lol.. Ive asked USAC and I get the programed answer, "thats Kazarians deal." There are three "teams" that are ok with the way the Ovals go, The PAS, USAC, and the winning team.

Funny, if a driver threatened to kick some PAS ass he would be set down, fined or both. Was this employee fired? Or were they drug tested? Any bets on that deal?

I was curious what happened to the post that started this thread? I see it says 76dad (Dean Buckley) started it but then I click on it and there is no post from him. Can someone enlighten me as to what was said. I have a fairly strong opinion about purse structures myself so I would love to hear what he had to say.

In a nutshell I hate top heavy purse structures as they dont fairly reward the whole field for a big show. The Chico Gold Cup has a $50,000 to win $20,000 for second deal which sounds great but then it falls big after 2nd. I would rather a purse structure that was spread back further so we could see some teams be able to feed their crews, put diesel in the hauler and maybe have enough left over to put some new tires on their race cars. It should be about the survival of the sport first and foremost.

Casey did a highlight quote of what Buckley had to type and it is gone as well......... It basically stated the winner's share the 2nd place share and ten the sharp dropoff after that.
