From DIRT Motorsports PR:

CONCORD, N.C. — March 26, 2007 — The World of Outlaws and the 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series are excited to announce their 2007 television schedules.

The Sprint Car stars from the World of Outlaws return to SPEED at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 13, with the warriors from the 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series making their 2007 SPEED debut on Sunday, May 20.

The World of Outlaws will be televised 20 times this season on ESPN2 and SPEED while the 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series is set for six appearances on SPEED. The one-hour broadcasts will air on Sundays from May 13 to Nov. 4, when the series champions will be crowned during the World Finals from The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

“When developing the World of Outlaws partnership with ESPN and SPEED, we wanted to create appointment TV, which means one day a week fans of the World of Outlaws or the 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series would know they could see their favorite drivers compete," said Brian Dunlap, Manager of Broadcast Services. “When ESPN and SPEED suggested Sunday afternoons for all 26 shows, it was an opportunity we embraced. Racing fans are accustomed to watching their sport on the weekends, especially Sundays. We’re excited to be a part of their day.”

The World of Outlaws debut at 2 p.m. (Eastern) May 13 on SPEED is an event from Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway. The next two Sundays on SPEED will feature 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series action at the “Rumble on the River” at Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Va., and the “Showdown at Sarvertown” from Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., which has been host to some of the most exciting dirt late model events in the past four years.

The World of Outlaws returns on June 3 and June 10 for 1 p.m. events on SPEED that were run at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., and The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C.

For the next eight weeks, the action shifts to ESPN2 for the World of Outlaws “Summer of Money” tour, featuring events at 12:30 p.m. every Sunday from Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway; Dodge City (Kan.) Raceway Park; Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, N.D.; I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo.; the Kings Royal By Crown Royal at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio; the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway; K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio; and wrapping up at Charter Raceway Park in Beaver Dam, Wis.

The 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series returns 1 p.m. Aug. 19 to SPEED for an event from Eldora Speedway followed Aug. 26 with action from Dave Blaney’s Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio.

The World of Outlaws take to SPEED for the Gold Rush Tour and the stretch run to the championship, featuring two events at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash.; the Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif.; Heartland Park Topeka (Kan.); Eldora Speedway; the National Open at Williams Grove and the Princeton Nationals from Princeton (Minn.) Speedway.

Two more events on SPEED — a 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series event airing Oct. 21 from Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn., and the World of Outlaws return to Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway airing on Oct. 28 — set the table for the huge finale.

Two hours of coverage beginning at 3 p.m. Nov. 4 on SPEED will highlight the inaugural Outlaws World Finals from The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway. For the first time in history, the World of Outlaws and the 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series will compete on the same nights at the same track, and SPEED will bring fans all the action as the champions are crowned in each series.

I also heard that the first cybercast was to be May 15 at Lernerville, and the first for the late models, I think April 21.

May 15?! I hope they can get their act together and start before that with the sprints!

Don't worry there won't be any excess.

---- ASSUMPTIONS ---- (somewhat educated)

It will cost at least $50,000 for the delayed production.

They will have somewhere around 8 - :30 spots available for sale (the rest will end up Speed).

Per unit cost recovery would run $6,250/spot.

Based upon current TV buys, they might get $1,250/spot. So I'd imagine the shortfall will run close to $5,000/spot or $40,000 per show.

Maybe they could trade some of their stock for the production costs.....at the current rate ($1.70 a share) that would only be 29,412 shares.

"the warriors from the 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series."

There are three things that I swore I'd never write in any of my articles.

1) Referring to race drivers as "warriors." My son-in-law over in Iraq is a warrior carrying over 100# of gear in 130 degree heat. These guys touring around the US in luxury motorhomes are talented drivers but they're not warriors.

2) Saying that 24 drivers will be strapped in "ready to do battle". Please refer to #1.

3) Calling drivers "pilots" as in "so and so will be piloting the #?? Maxim." I worked on the flight deck of a carrier during Nam. F4 Phantoms launched off the cat and going straight up in afterburner, those are pilots in my book. Sorry but I can't put some 16 year old kid who's wealthy daddy put him in a Sprint Car on the same level as an F4 jockey flying a mission over the jungle.

Other than those few pet peeves about racing press releases I'm glad to hear that the Outlaw's TV schedule will begin soon.

Why worry yourself with the stock prices & all that? There's nothing me or you or anybody else with "shallow" pockets can do to change that. Can't you just enjoy one of the most entertaining racing years in a long time, I know I am. I'm going to several shows this year & not 1 time am I gonna check stock prices before I go! If the WoO don't make it this year because they went broke, I done all I could do, I went to the races!

And I'll just go to the races so I don't have to deal with the military analogies in their press releases. wink

Why would I be worried? I'm not one of the suckers that bought it at over $6 a share.

stan you sure know how to take all the fun out of PR work. you almost have it whittled down to "come watch some guys drive some cars around". unless of course you have some objections to that terminology as well. lol.

ps. i have friends who fly private planes and i know they are not in the same catagory as F4 fly boys. so i am at a lose as to what to call them if not pilots.

i have also heard military pilots refered to as jockies. should the small people who ride race horses start to worry about thier description as well? roflmao.

just playing with you stan!

relax bud, hawk is just scraping the bottom of the barrel cause he can't find anything else to rag about with woo concerning this post. never mind that dirt is very diversified and it's stock prices and debts reflect the WHOLE of the company and not just the woo. hell the woo might just be keeping dirt afloat. lmao. hawk can you check dirts itemized reciepts for us and take into account the money lost from the nst (Nice Stink'in Try). also the money ammortized over time do to growth and expantion costs. and money spent to revamp properties bought and invested in.and offset it against projected revenue and income do to the fine crop of drivers that are going to kick some sprint car butt this year. and figure in the corn dogs and root beer i am gonna consume watching the telivised shows. lmfao

ps i admire your continued monitering and reporting on dirt stock. thank you.

all in fun hawker, all in fun.

Outdoor Channel could be a little smarter than ESPN2. Why on Gods Green Earth would ESPN2 go against NAPCAR on Sunday afternoon.

Stan, as one of the P.R. schmucks from time to time, I will say the thesaurus can only go so far with some of these terms, but appreciate your viewpoint. One question though. What do we do with "trouser pilot"?...
